[The terminal comes to life and before it a newcomer sits, leaning back slightly in the chair that he found before it. His eyes are on the bottom of the screen, looking through options that are available and then he realises that yes--he's did get that right, he's seen harder things to navigate. There is a look of relief that passes over his features as he leans slightly forward and while he certainly does not seem annoyed at the situation, there is hint of confusion in those purple eyes; perhaps perplexed, if not mildly amused.] I've seen some crazy things throughout the years--and trust me, living underwater has it's advantages in that department but a giant turtle that deals with you hanging around and populating it's shell?

Now that's patience. I've been told by a reliable source that turtles can have quite an attitude on them, but so I'm assuming that it's not taken a swipe to try to clear all you off as I think the setting would be a little different. More apocalyptic aftermath than street party festival from what I'm seeing.

[He's heard the speech, he's seen the locals and if anything he can feel the tension but the figure is that this could be something obvious, considering they bring complete strangers out of nowhere and throw them into the locals lives. Biting down on his lower lip for a moment in thought though, he is quiet for a moment before returning his attention to the viewer, and when he does there is an attempt at a smile; a teasing lilt to his voice.] Maybe he enjoys the celebration though--now that's not something you expect to see waking up from well--what was supposed to be a permanent sleep, I imagine. And speaking of that, this whole in-between idea. I thought purgatory was supposed to be boring. Doesn't seem to be the case here. I suppose it's best to ask here--since apparently it's the Emperor's business but, maybe you can tell me.

[A pause.]

What are the chances of seeing someone you thought that well, you might have never seen again? Death is the issue, I suppose but since apparently they can bring people from it, do they tend to do that regularly around these parts?

[Kon sits back on his chair and kicks his feet up on the desk.]

Happens more than you'd think.

Didn't think there was any reason to beat around the bush. [There is a small smile on his lips because oh--he remembers you, from even when he still held the mantle of Aqualad.]

It's strange that they would bring us here in that state. My concern is namely the people who are not though, the people who should be back home.

[His brow creases for a quick moment and he shakes his head.]

All of us should be back home. None of us belong here. Dead or alive, right?

No doubt, asides the locals I'm assuming. [He leans back in his chair.]

Dead or alive, it doesn't matter. I guess I'm just confused on why they would bring people here--some from death and some from life.

Well yeah.

I have no idea. When the first bunch of us arrived, they said that we were here to save them or something? And since then we've sorta been...not gelling well? And we don't know what they mean by 'saving' either.

[He shrugs.]

I think it's just a random thing for when we get brought here.

[He frowns.] Has anything dangerous happened in your time here at all?

Yeah. Some natural, some not. Angry kedan, fights, wars, clone stuff. Oh we're not allowed to help with stuff.

[Which obviously means they all just have to be sneaky about it or not care and just do it.]

[Still frowning he gives a small tilt of his head.] Define stuff?

The helping 'stuff' or the clone 'stuff?

[He shrugs again and sighs.]

I wasn't there to see the clones or us...but it seemed messed up. The helping out, if something bad happens here, we're basically not to help cause we make it worse or something? I dunno, I do it any way cause it's what I do.

[His brows furrow.] The clone stuff I've heard of--but I was under the impression we were brought here to help somehow?

Maybe I misinterpreted. It seems odd they would want us to not be involved.

Right? Makes as much sense as anchovies on pizza.

I thought we were here for that as well, but I don't know what they mean by it if she tells us to stop?

[His brows furrow at that but his face is amused, a small laugh.] Exactly.

I guess my next question would be--if this world is always on the move, what sorts of things have you come up against since you've been here?

Well we've been on the mainland before. Twice actually. The first time it was more of a wasteland with monsters. You still had powers they the further you went, they cut out. Second time it was a port town. That was...uh more relaxed? Except we needed a passport to get in. There was a high wall. Don't know what happened, never asked. We had zombies? We were underwater and they came through the barrier. That was hellish.

[He frowns slightly, his brows furrowing.] Zombies, passports, monsters?

Sounds like a normal day back home--almost a little more relaxing. It's not good to hear that they'll cut your powers though. You think they'd let us keep something of ourselves when it comes to situations like that.

There's been tougher times back home but...we're all stuck and it's not rogues causing it or anything. It's just...happening. Back home we could leave the state, the planet! But we're all confined on this turtle so it makes you a little tired at the things that happen.

There's only one person that can take your power here, the rest is just...distance based.

This is so not a vacation. Give it a few months, this is coming from Mister Optimistic!

I bet. [He lets out a small sigh.] I mean, can you even go far out into the sea the turtle is surrounded by? I would assume that the waters would be endless.

They are. For the turtle. Us? We can get like a half mile out before we just go black out. It's instant if you go fast enough but it's gradual until you go unconscious.

Has anyone ever found a reason for that?

The turtle does it. There's no equipment creating it. At least I can't remember.

So pretty much it can be said that the turtle is ruling it's own shell.

I wouldn't say that. Not exactly, I mean there's things it does? But I got a feeling it's the Emperor that's ruling everything shell side.
