[Costigan waves a dismissive hand and straightens from the counter, more than done with the topic. Jack doesn't quite understand, but he can't blame the guy when he's completely unwilling to elaborate and he knows it.]

I have a few people to talk to before dinner. [An open-ended declaration, hinting at Jack's time to go but still giving him time if there's anything else the guy wants to talk about. The usual cues.]

[ Jack accepts the cue, gulps down the rest of his coffee with a grimace and gathers the thermos and the mugs. He tries never to overstay his welcomes here especially, of all places. He'll hold off visiting again until Costigan has a chance to talk to Abigail, or at least warn her that a potentially invisible guy may be dropping by from time to time. (He didn't think he'd actually ever spoken to her before.) ]

All right. You know how to get hold of me if something comes up.

[He gave a nod and was about to grab the mug to offer to Jack when it turned invisible and he assumed his friend was already collecting them. The presence unnerved him without being able to see, much like any magic or powers would do, but he trusted the guy enough not to do anything.]
