audio only;
[When the audio starts up, it's with a low rumble of static. This message will play across all consoles regardless of whether or not the character wants it to the next time they're seated and logged in, and with it there is an accompaniment of a feeling of fear, unease, nausea and a slight pricking pain of phantom wounds. And then the 'reception' clears, and all of that vanishes outright. When the voice speaks, it's as if there are a thousand people doing so, accents and cadences that sound completely alien, all building to a result that seems pleasantly androgynous. At times it's musical, at times it's tantamount to nails on a chalkboard.]
Greetings, Keeliai.
[There's a slow, languid noise like the slow turning of a squeaky wheel.]
So, here I am. Goodness, it's been some years since I've set foot in this great city. Do you think they missed me? The little kedan I mean, scurrying about with their daily lives? Damaged as they are by the Emperor's summoning? A tragedy, truly. Have you ever thought about what you might be missing, yourselves? There is always a sacrifice, to come here.
I would also like to humbly extend my cordial thanks to those that invited me here. It's never too late to a good party. And just in time for little turtle eggs! How delightful. Many happy returns to the proud parents.
