Welp. I'm getting kinda sick of this part of life here. Any old time we can stop with the random vanishings, that'd be stellar.

Isaac Lahey's suite is empty. He's gone. No idea when that happened. Allison Argent also vanished earlier this month. So that's a thing that's happened.

So, now that my abandonment issues have really been given plenty of fuel to last me through at least my mid-life crisis, a question. Last month due to the generosity of Tony Stark, I got my jeep back. Through careful conservation, I've managed to keep her running.

Except now a certain little dial is hovering just above the E on the left, and I'm kinda screwed. Anybody know where a guy can get his hands on some highly-refined petroleum? I'm not picky, the jeep can run on 87 octane, don't need any of that high-falutin' 93 stuff. Because, you know, the back of a giant turtle is probably full of crude oil deposits.

Not a lot. I made a full tank last over a month, thank you very much. Still walk to work and everything.

Worse comes to worst, I could convert her to burn vegetable oil, I guess. Behold, the world's first jeep that smells like a greek salad!

You're really going to try and turn a combustion engine into one that can run on vegetable oil.

It's been done before! It's possible. I mean, it's a heavily-processed vegetable oil, and the catalytic converters have to be completely replaced, but I did some reading on it a couple years ago. It's doable.

[ Derek stares at him over the screen for a long moment. ] If you need help, let me know.

[Ah, there's a little grin.]

Yeah? You know about cars, huh. Lemme guess, you know all about it from that Camaro you used to drive.

Among other things I used to drive, yes. [ He's scowling. ]

I miss that Camaro, just for the record. That car was amazing.

[ He sighs, cuz... yeah, he kind of misses it, too. ] Do you want my help or not?

Uh, yes I do! I never said I didn't!

[Because that means that his Mechanic!Derek fantasies might come true.]
