[ Astrid, meet the network. Network, meet Astrid. She is sitting at the console very straight and stiffly, and looks all but expressionless - except for how wide her eyes are and how she appears to be fidgeting with the fingers of one hand. When she speaks, her voice is very even, though, and not modulated much at all. ]
Hello.
[ there's a brief pause as she stares at the camera. When she starts talking again, her eyes dart away from the camera to look down and off to the side ]
I am Agent Astrid Farnsworth. I would appreciate it if someone would tell me if there is an Agent Charlie Francis, an Agent Lincoln Lee, or an Agent Olivia Dunham here. I report to them and I need further instruction about what I should be doing in this situation.
...Please.
[ her eyes flick back to the camera, then away, and she shuts the feed off ]

Astrid! Did you just get here today? Are you okay?

Judging by your greeting, I am assuming that you have mistaken me for your Astrid. Taking into account the differences in our mannerisms and variations in our appearances, and the familiarity I have observed you to have with both of us, I estimate there is only a 1 to 2% chance that you would mistake me for her. Therefore the only logical conclusion is that you have not met me yet, and we are misplaced temporally as well as physically.
[ she shifts, and looks up, a little lost ]
I have just arrived and I am fine. Thank you for asking, Agent Dunham.

I'm sorry, you're not... my Astrid? Does that mean...
[ Pause. Deep breath. ]
I'm confused.

[ Ugh, she's starting to get flustered. She really doesn't like being here. :c ]
I am not certain if you are aware of the other universe yet. Popular science fiction would have me believe that it would be disastrous to inform you of things that you do or learn in the future but I do not believe it can be avoided in this situation. I am sorry I am not your Astrid.
[ And she does actually sound a bit upset about that, though it's hard to tell if it's because she feels bad or because she's just upset and overwhelmed ]

You're from the other universe. The one William Bell's in. [ She pushes her hair out of her face, hand pressed to her forehead for a moment while she considers, and then lifts her head again and goes on carefully: ] The universe that's at war with ours?
no subject
[ oh, wait, that's probably not reassuring ]
We are no longer attacking each other. The bridge is healing our world, and our agencies are working together. You are not fond of our Agent Dunham, but it is understandable.

So you're from the future. ...my future.

[ beat ]
Yes, I am from your future.

[ Pause. ] Can I ask why I don't like the other... Agent Dunham?
no subject
[ ...what, you wanted her to explain? Ha! ]
no subject
...is this because of those science fiction time travel theories?

And I do not think it is my place, as I was not cleared for all of the details at the time.

If you need anything, if I can help you settling in here at all, let me know, alright? I know you're not my Astrid, but you're the closest thing to my universe I've found so far, and I'd be happy to help however I can. I'm in the Water Sector. Building 2A.
