Normally he would never, EVER do this on purpose. But Leo's using video in other locked conversations - ones encrypted far less securely than this one. He knows his family's cover is completely blown, so although he's still quite uncomfortable using unlocked video, he's slowly adjusting to letting people see him.
It's not as if anyone who cares to check couldn't find his prior accidental video reply to his brother, or the one he just made to Korra. They're out on the Network and there's nothing Leo can do about it. So here goes nothing.]
