She's at least showered and changed into local clothes since she got here, but her hair's still wet, she's wrapped in a blanket, and she sounds exhausted when she starts talking. ]

Hello... to whoever's out there. Agent Olivia Dunham, with Fringe Division - not that that matters here, I suppose. I'm honestly not sure... what happened to me just before I got here. The people who pulled me out of the water told me this is between life and death, and maybe they're right, but...

[ The wry twist of her mouth suggests she doubts it. ]

Something happened. I feel like a truck ran over me, and I'm...[ Deep breath. Oh god she hates asking for help. ] If there's anyone out there who could bring me a cane, or some crutches... I'd really appreciate it.

[ And quickly moving on: ] Also, if there's anyone here familiar with Massive Dynamic or William Bell ... or any scientists out there used to dealing in the impossible... I'd like to speak to you as soon as possible. Thank you.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with either of those names, but I do know a few scientists of that sort. [He can't keep the concern out of his face or voice.] I could hunt up something like crutches I'm sure.

What do you consider the impossible?

Well... [ Wry smile. ] Not much, anymore, but what I meant was... fringe science, or at least a lot of things most people would consider it. Telepathy, telekinesis, reanimation... parallel universes...

Where I come from, we call days where there's things like that showing up Thursday.

Do you need any medical assistance, aside from the crutches?

I'm pretty sure I have a concussion, but I've had worse.

[ She pauses, and grimaces a little. ] I'm hoping my knee's just sprained and I haven't torn anything, but I'm honestly not sure.

...of course. I should have guessed. [ And that is not setting off eerie and unsettling echoes of the ZFT manual in her head. Nope... ]

There's only a few people who can manage that sort of thing in my universe, and it's not common knowledge. Anyway, that's what I have... questions about.

Man. Anyone get you any crutches yet? Or-- well, actually, how bad are you injured?

If you're comfortable with it, I could come take a look? Even if it's just sprained, I can wrap it up for you so it heals better. [a beat] And you really should make sure the conscussion isn't serious.

[The concern is pretty obvious in her voice, but she's not going to force anyone to accept her help]

Sergeant Bucky Barnes. Can't help much with science, but if you need assistance or a guide around the sectors or help with the groceries, I could do that.

I have a friend that's a really great healer and she'd be happy to help-- would you like me to get her?

[She looks-- yep, pretty concerned about this. Still, Korra's a helper, and wouldn't mind being volunteered for the duty.]

[ Olivia doesn't answer for a moment, glancing down at her leg, flexing it a little - fuck, ow - and weighing her reluctance to get help from strangers against her desire to have a functioning leg in the future. ...yeah, that one's not a hard decision even for her. ]

If it's not too much trouble... I'd appreciate that. [ She pauses, and smiles a little, tilting her head as she adds: ] Though... please don't take this the wrong way, and I honestly don't think it's serious, but how much medical training have you had?

[ You are kind of tiny, Steph. ]

[ That gets a little smile. ] Yeah. You know it, or is it just the fact that someone actually named a company that?

There's someone on his way. [ Deep breath. ] Concussion... something wrong with my leg, though nothing's broken... a lot of scrapes and bruises other than that, but nothing major. [ No big deal, nothing to to worry about here. ]

[ She laughs softly and nods. ] Fair enough. I'm just a little annoyed that I can't remember whatever my something was. [ Not least because she wants to know who she should be blaming for it when she gets home. :| ]

And... thank you, Sergeant. I appreciate it. [ Chances she'll actually help for ask: slim, unless she really can't manage on her own. But the offer really is nice of him.

She smiles and tilts her head as she asks: ] So... army or Marines?

[ Eyebrows raised, not exactly dubious, but somewhat uncertain. ] A healer?

Mmhmm. She's-- it's sort of like magic in our world. She can manipulate elements. Water is our healing element. She's really good at it, if you're worried. I've seen her heal several people myself. It's not instantaneous, but it can help with the immediate pain.

...Oh, a company. I thought it was a person.

[ Oh, snap, though. He cringes sympathetically, and nods. ] I gotta healing unit, if you wanna use it. Might take an hour or so, but you'll be good as new and won't even know you stubbed your toe.

It's not too much trouble. [Steph's not surprised by the question, and she just gives a wry, understanding smile] I'm Red Cross certified in a bunch of things, I've got EMT training, I've been volunteering with emergency clinics since I was fifteen and I spent a year with Doctors Wihout Borders.

I can bring a resume, if you'd like, but I promise I can handle a sprained knee. [There's amusement clear in her tone]

You've better chances to get the story when you get back though, don't you? One of those things.

[ Olivia laughs softly and shakes her head. ] That won't be necessary, but thank you. That's impressive for someone your age.

I'm in WA-2A, and I'm... not going anywhere fast, so there's no need to hurry or anything.

Ah... no. That would be much more questionable. [ Grin. ]

Healing unit? I'm afraid I'm not sure what that is, and... not that I don't appreciate the offer, but I'm a little wary of unfamiliar technology right now. It's nothing personal, just the past few days... [ Past year, really. It's been weird. ]

[ Muttered: ] If I get back... [ Optimism? NOT OLIVIA'S STRONG SUIT. ]

...World War II? Huh. I'm from... further along than that, but I used to be a Marine before I joined the Bureau. [ Teasing smile. ] I promise I won't hold the army thing against you.

...magic. Of course.

[ THIS IS HER LIFE NOW. WHY. ...but manipulating water for healing isn't actually that much stranger than pyrokinesis, she supposes, so there's no reason to disbelieve it. ]

If your friend won't mind, I'd appreciate that. Especially since they don't seem to have much in the way of painkillers around here...
