video;

You are, of course, discussing what is best for human children.

Dreaming is an emotional avenue that Vulcan children are not permitted. Logic is the savior of my race and we adhere to it stringently, willingly, from a young age. To do otherwise is shameful and grounds for banishment.

[ Like Sybok's, but he doesn't mention his older brother to Jack. No one discusses him anymore. ]

A Vulcan cannot entertain emotion, we find it distasteful. To do so would mean their destruction and, as such, our young are safeguarded by the teachings we have adopted. [ A brow quirks. ] There is not a Vulcan child in existence who would agree with you, Jack. This should not cause you distress because it is simply unalterable fact and you are hosting grief that they would not only turn their back on, but scorn.

[ Jack might not recognize it yet, but he just received some very important advice. Spock is well aware how xenophobic his people are and to be chastised in this way would offend a great deal of them. As it is, he's lived with humans a while now. Spock is accustomed to them believing that logic is somehow harmful or a proverbial chain around Vulcans' necks, when it is in actual fact more closely comparable to a very proactive religion. ]

I suggest you reconsider your approach to other species in the future, rather than taking offense when their beliefs clash with your own. It is illogical and arrogant to assume you are always correct.
