o7 ♆ video (house of hades spoilers)
[Unsurprisingly, Percy and Annabeth are together - it’s likely no one’s seen them apart from each other for the last month or so. He has his arm curled around her waist, holding her tightly to him.
They look absolutely shattered. If exhaustion had a definition, this would be it. But there’s something settled about the, especially Percy. He no longer looks like he’s going to rip somebody’s head off, even if he does seem like he’s on the verge of falling asleep]
We made it. [His voice is hoarse, like he’s been yelling, or crying, or maybe both.] Both of us, we made it through, the whole freaking way. It was - it wasn’t - we’re okay. That’s the main part.
[Though Annabeth’s slumped into and against him, the way she’s holding him, too, is just as tight and supporting. She laughs a little after he speaks, but the sound is just as hoarse, her voice the same way.] Probably worth mentioning we shut the Doors, too. [A beat.] With Hazel, but - you know, on our side. [Something dark flashes in her face, but it’s gone, replaced once more by a relieved sort of exhaustion.] And don’t raise the alarm if we’re gone for a week.
A week and three days, for some of us. [That same darkness shades his expression, but it disappears as he smiles down at Annabeth] This is gonna make like, no sense to most of them.
[She glances up, with a bit of a look.] I really don’t care at this point.
[And then she reaches out to turn off the feed, cutting right into and silencing the sounds of Percy’s tired laughter.]

There's no keeping the hurt from her face right now, honestly.]
You two should rest.
[It's quiet, but firm. She is not going to have this argument over this strange device. Not right now.]
And know that I never meant for something to come from my spite.
video;
Percy.
Just that, just his name, and the cracks in that glass ball inside his chest slowly start to seal up again. The anger drains away, leaving only exhaustion behind.]
Yeah, well I didn't mean for a lot of things to happen, too. And look where we are.

[Annabeth reaches him, though, and she's only relieved by it as she can feel some of the anger dissipate. She doesn't let go of his hand or shift away, keeps herself where she is and holds him up. If anything, her arm around him tightens. Especially with how he responds.]
We made it out. That's the important part. [She's not sure who she's saying that for at this point, to be honest. Maybe all three of them.]
video;
[Calypso finally turns her gaze to the girl, softening and hoping that her face can convey her regret better than words can at the moment.]
Avoid me if you like... But do not make me argue with you over these strange contraptions. There are many things that need to be said, but in person. Not like this.
[Please don't avoid her, though. She was just giving you the option to... It doesn't mean she wants it to happen. At all. She'd rather that not happen at all.]
video;
It's said quietly, because he needs to get this out, like he's excising poison or something. And he needs to not think about poison, needs to not think about what he's done and what he'd almost become and what he deserves]
It should have been me. If you were going to curse anyone, it should have been me.
video;
[If anything else had just happened, she might have resisted his tugging, but as it stands, she sort of gets shuffled along without care. But she turns her head, pressing her forehead against his shoulder and squeezes his hand again. Her voice is surprisingly soft, but there's something determined in there, too.]
Percy, not right now. [No matter how quietly he's said it, she doesn't want him to get caught up in it or his anger again. Not now, not when they're barely able to hold each other upright anymore. But completely avoiding Calypso isn't going to be good for any of them in the long run.]
video;
Her spite.
She licks her lips and only says one thing:]
Later.
[Before cutting off the feed and ignoring any resulting messages from him.]
