You should stop, Jack. Stop worrying about unmagicking the snow. Stop being so down on yourself for this. Stop thinking you did something wrong. Stop letting some other people make you feel bad about this stuff. I may not know the specifics of this situation because like I said, I don't know Spock. But from what you said, it sounds like this was something beyond either of your control and it would be like blaming someone that could turn into a cat for setting off someone's allergy to cat hair.
