[ Waking in a new world was definitely not something Marinette expected to greet her when she opened her eyes. On the plus side, she had her belongings with her - even Tikki, though the kwami seemed very groggy and tired. She reassured Marinette she'd be fine, it wasn't like when she got sick back then, so Marinette let the kwami sleep and devoted her attention to finding out where she was and exactly what was going on. Cut to about...two hours later, when she accesses the network, her mind spinning with the information she'd been given. ]

[ She probably found her way to one of the console cafe's honestly, but she presents herself with a polite smile (if a little bit awkward). ][ She pauses, as something occurs to her. Her first option should have been making her way to that Welcome Center to stay, but she had prioritized getting Tikki some food instinctively. Hopefully it'd help the kwami recover. ]

I'll ... probably be at this cafe for a little bit longer, but I really should have a look around soon too.

[ She'd totally doesn't think anyone from home is here either. She hesitates a moment to consider her topics, and finally settles on one. ]

So, I guess I'll be seeing you all around! If you've got any suggestions of places to take a look at, I'm open to ideas.

[ She needed to get her bearings in this place after all, especially with what's been going on. Once from the ground.. and then once from the air, when Tikki was recovered. Before ending her connection though, she grins and flashes a cheerful V'sign. Peace Out? ... so lame, Marinette. ]

[ As for Marinette, she was trying to focus on walking and talking herself - occasionally stealing a glance to her purse when Adrien wasn't glancing her way, trying to send silent Tikkiiii help! messages. Though the kwami found the dual-derping quite funny, honestly, and only made encouraging gestures from inside the purse. ]

R.. right behind you. With you. [ Erm. BESIDE? Yes, beside works. Beside him. What does she do with her hands? Does she reach for his-- OH GOD NO. Swing them? No no, she might smack him -- or herself -- by accident. She will... calmly clasp them behind her back... yeah that's not awkward or anything. ]

Have you been there from the beginning? When you first ...um, came here? [ Gasp, a complete sentence. Good job Marinette! ]

[Adrien occasionally turns his head to watch her, his smile equally fond and amused. He knows, really, he's not much better, but there's something so gosh darn endearing about her awkwardness. ]

Oh no. When I first came here, I lived in the Midnight Hotel. When the original owner left, it lost a lot of its magic, and a lot of it was unusable. I moved out, then. It's back on its feet now, the hotel, I mean- but I have to admit, I'm kinda attached to our place now.

[Because it's THEIR place. ]

[ Ohhhhhhhh he said it. "OUR" place. Yes, it was established before, but for someone reason it seemed even more real when he said it like that. Our place. Hggn, stay cool Marinette..! ]

That's... that's good! And I promise I'll pull my weight too, since we'll be lllllll... [ OHGOD her tongue is stuck. ]

Um. I-I mean I can do the cooking and cleaning ah - [ ... She... thought it would be best they did their laundry separate though. For..many many reasons. ]

Oh, um. Thanks! I admit it took me a loooong time to understand how to do all that housekeeping stuff. So you have to promise not to laugh at me when I end up sucking at some of it.

[ She can do eeet! She just.. has to focus on thing aside from how awesome it is to be staying in the same place with him. So she imagines what Chloe's face would look like if she knew, and chuckles a little to herself. Heehee. Wait he just said not to laugh - ]

O-oh! Sorry I wasn't laughing at you, I was just... thinking of something else! Um. [ She clears her throat a bit. ]

Well if.. you ever need help or anything -- actually you've been here longer than me, you could probably give *ME* tips.

Trust me, I probably deserve any and all laughing. You have no idea how long it took me to learn how to make a cup of tea.

I can give you tips. Living here is a lot easier than you'd think.

[ ... wow she ... kinda wishes she had been here for that, watching him grow and change and learn ...... okay she may have been but it wasn't like she remembered any of it, so she might as well not have been. ]

Haha, that's great! [ She's so proud of you Adrien ;o; Making tea correctly is the HARDEST thing EVAR. ]

I'd.. love tips of course. At least you won't have to really give me tips on cooking though. Or laundry. [ She learned the basics of those things from her folks. ]

[It was adorable as heck. Like watching Bambi take his first steps, instead it was a rich kid trying to work a kettle. ]

Oh good, because I'm still pretty sure I'm doing laundry wrong.

[Adrien you've been here for a year and a half. Laundry shouldn't be this hard now. ]

[ And she missed it *(sob)* Why didn't her other self think to take home movies? Ah well. ]

Really? You didn't accidentally turn a white shirt pink or something, did you? [ Or maybe he overflowed the washing mashine. She's seen comedies that did that - the entire room, full of Mr. Bubble. ]

[That gets an embarrassed laugh out of him. ]

I have a draw full of pink shirts that used to be white. A whole drawer.

[Save him. ]

[ GACK. She had been kidding too! ]

Uh...well do .. you -like- the color pink? I mean... if you go by um... societal standards I guess it's not very manly, but I think you'd look good in it too. If it does bother you though I could.. see if I could make it a little less pink...?

[ Experiment on his shirts with designs and such - that's not a terrible idea right? ]

I mean, I don't mind it? It's still...really, really pink, though.

[He looks at her with hopeful, doe eyes. ]

Could you? That'd be great!

[ OH NO NOT THE EYES. She survived Manon's puppy eyes, she can't survive these ones! Laughing, she nodded eagerly. ]

Yeah, it's no problem! Just, whenever you get a chance, you can give me those shirts, and I'll see if I can work a miracle! [ Oh the jokes. ]

Oh, I'm sure if anyone on the turtle could fix them, it's you, Mari!

[His faith in her is unshakeable. ]

[ Mari. She couldn't help but feel a little proud and giddy even to hear him shorten her name like that. Okay, breathe Marinette. She blushed faintly at the high praise again, and made a show of pretending to push her sleeves up. ]

With praise like that I have to work extra hard to make sure I don't let you down. Besides, it'll give me a chance to be a little extra creative with it. [ She was already getting a few ideas. ]

[He laughs, smiling wide. ]

Really? I could end up with a Marinette Original? Lucky me!

[ She laughed, pantomiming a fancy scribble. ]

Sure thing! If you want, I can even sign it for you. [ ... well no, not really. She looked thoughtful. ]

Or I could make a designer's mark on it at least.

I should probably do that for a lot of my designs, come to think of it.

Ahaha, well, it might not be THAT noticeable. If I start putting a logo on the clothes I might put it somewhere that could be covered up if people don't like it. Like.. on the sleeve or backpocket or something.

Not that I really see that being an issue, but, people should still have options.

Hey, when we get to the apartment, I ..could take over making the food if you want. Or we can take turns.

[ So long as they follow the recipe there's no chance of them burning the place down! That said, the two shall continue on to the apartment, chattering about various topics. And the best part is that Marinette finally managed to calm herself down and talk to him like a normal person. For now. ]
