Look, I didn't bring the amulet here. But I did recognize it. It's from my world. So I guess I kind of feel responsible. Is that a thing? Things from home following you here, I mean?

But yeah... Just for future reference. If you see something glowing a weird green color, maybe try running in the other direction instead of picking it up?

Actually, I think I'd put my world a few levels above Keeliai in weirdness. [Danny shrugs awkwardly.] Cause you know, giant turtles wouldn't be too out of place. If they were ghost giant turtles.

No. I've been looking around for it, but it seems like it disappeared. If it was still around, pretty sure someone would have noticed by now.

'Luck' is not a quantifiable phenomenon. Its influence is random, with no readily discernible cause or catalyst.

Yeah, I'm sure. Think about it. The farther you have to go, the more power you need. You go from walking, to running, to finding a vehicle that can get your there. And getting from one planet to another takes a lot of power--no matter how you do it.

[ She pauses. ]

As for magic, haven't you ever used up too much of your power? Or your own energy doing something? You can't do something for a while, right?

Yeah, I usually fall asleep when that happens. [Even midflight, which is really awkward.]

So does the energy thing here work like other kinds of energy?

Yeah, sleeping tends to get your power back pretty quickly--not to mention cheaply.

You're wondering if the energy here will give out one day and we'll go home? Is that it?

Yeah, kind of. Or you know, if that happens and we get permanently stranded here.

You know, Danny gets to say "I told you so" to Sheena...lol

Sadly, that's the other possibility. But when it happened where I was before, the energy loss was noticed and it was decided that people could go home if they chose. Perhaps that will happen here.

He'll probably be too busy sulking to say it. guess who gets to go home before getting dragged back
