Look, I didn't bring the amulet here. But I did recognize it. It's from my world. So I guess I kind of feel responsible. Is that a thing? Things from home following you here, I mean?

But yeah... Just for future reference. If you see something glowing a weird green color, maybe try running in the other direction instead of picking it up?

The probability of such a repeat occurrence is low...but not impossible.

However, it is a far greater likelihood that, should another part of your world make itself known here, it will be in the form of either a familiar face, or a secondary object of significantly lesser consequence.

Benign objects? [He shrugs.] Maybe. It depends on how you define benign. Familiar faces? Could definitely be a problem.

[Because he had a lot more enemies than he did friends. And even some of his friends were enemies to half of himself. ]

Benign. Adjective. Not harmful in effect, gently, and/or kindly in nature.

[Yes, she did just recite a basic definition of the word. She tended to take things way literal at times.]

Does the word have a different definition in your world of origin?

But some things are benign to one person, and the complete opposite to someone else. [You know, like his parents' house full of anti-ghost weaponry.]

Admittedly, there is a substance in my universe that appears to cause harm to only myself.

I am most fortunate it has yet to appear in this one.

Does that kind of thing show up for anyone else? Is that something we need to watch for.

Statistically, the chances of such a thing occurring to your--though not at zero percent--is sufficiently low. You should not overly concern yourself with those thoughts.

Is it common for yourself to routinely fall outside the standard expectations of probability?

'Luck' is not a quantifiable phenomenon. Its influence is random, with no readily discernible cause or catalyst.
