[To all appearances, Molly has visitors in her little room in the Earth sector. If anyone is familiar with Disney movies, they might look somewhat familiar. One is a faun, the other a caterpillar, and the two seem to be sharing the caterpillar's hookah, immersed deep in conversation. If you listen close, you might even be able to hear the soft murmur of their voices, and what looks to be firelight plays gently on the ceiling.]

[Then, abruptly, Molly clears her throat and both the caterpillar and the faun are gone in an instant, leaving the soft flicker of colors in the background behind her. The young woman in question is seated, still a good distance away from her screen (just in case), and looking a curious mixture of slightly smug and a bit bored. When she speaks, she sounds cheerful enough, if still wary.]

I don't suppose there'd be anyone willing to tutor me around here? I'm getting kind of bored of sitting around with illusions, and I don't want to try fireballs in an enclosed space. So, uh, help?

I'm sorry I brought it up, okay? Sometimes I just talk and I don't really know- I don't even know what I'm saying sometimes.

[He chuckles nervously.]

Me neither. [Have a cautious smile, there.]

Oh good. We have that in common.

[magicalpadawan]

...That's good, I guess?

[tangentdarko]

Totally! We can be friends now. [A beat.] If you want to be.

[magicalpadawan]

I don't have a lot of friends here. [A beat right back.]

I don't freak you out?

[tangentdarko]

No! I mean, it's kind of weird, but it's pretty cool too. If I could do what you could do, I'd probably never stop.

[magicalpadawan]

[She shakes her head.] It's not as fun as you think.

[tangentdarko]

Why don't we get some coffee sometime and you can tell me all about it?

[magicalpadawan]

[That kind of throws her for a loop, but -- it's been a while since she's had anything she could call a 'friend'. Mostly because she's shoved them all away. After a moment of silence, she answers, though it's slightly unsure.]

....Um. Okay.

[tangentdarko]

Cool. So I'll, uh.. I'll pick you up at 7? I mean, not pick you up. But I can meet you at your place and we can walk over to wherever you want to go.

[magicalpadawan]

Sure. I-- that sounds okay. It's just ...been a while since I've gone for coffee with someone.

[tangentdarko]

I don't know that I've ever had coffee, but I think it's a thing people do a lot when they're upset or want to talk to someone. It seems like a good way to get to know people. If you want to do something else though or if there's something that you normally do, we could do that instead. It's not like I have a system or anything. I don't really do this a lot either.

[magicalpadawan]
