[There's an almost lazy arrogance in Sep's posture as he regards the camera, and a small smile on his handsome face. He seems incredibly pleased with himself--and he is. After a moment in which he clearly considers what to say, he lets out a quick, amused breath. His smile softens a little.]

For any new arrivals, and those I haven't met, I'm Sep. I didn't want to speak before I was certain I could deliver. Now I am.

I'm a healer. [The pause shows a brief flicker of distaste on his face, before settling into something more serious. He hates the word he's about to use.] Functionally speaking, I draw on the... magic in water. As such, at home we generally work with patients in a tub of water. For some, the more powerful can work without, but it's not our preference.

As far as specialty, I'm most familiar with injuries, any kind that needs attention. By my people's standards I am more skilled than most. [He frowns briefly.] Serious illness generally takes longer, and is more exhausting. And with injuries, there are limits. With any luck we won't have to face anything truly serious.

I know some people won't be quite as comfortable with healing by [almost invisible pause] magic as my people are. For us, it's as everyday as breathing. Obviously I'll respect your boundaries, whatever they are, though I hope you'll take the professional's advice.

[Faint amusement glitters in his bright green eyes.] I'll be working out of my suite in WA-3A. [It's just more convenient.] Come by whenever you need to, especially for emergencies.

Well, I'm doing this in lieu of, er, street-sweeping and salvaging, [he rolls his eyes impatiently, he was bored okay] so hourly wages are generally just fine.

The more serious, exhausting work I might have to ask a little more, if it means I need to take noticeable time off. [HIGHLY UNLIKELY in his experience, but it could happen.]

Oh, and if for some reason someone needs extra attention, reimbursement for meals--sometimes patients really need to be where I can see them a little longer. Burns are like that, usually. [Legion. Captain. He does know logistics, he's just not used to thinking of it on a personal level.]

Magically fueled or not, it would be unwise to turn down potential services of a skilled physician.

And do you anticipate people trusting you enough to allow you to attend them?

[Because she wouldn't.]

Not everyone here is inexperienced in magic, or averse to it. And I hope not everyone is that cynical.

[He is utterly serene.]

I hope not. As I said, at home this isn't remarkable, just a part of life. When we were docked at the mainland, there were a lot of injuries. Hopefully I'll be able to help next time something happens.

[Tris listens carefully with interest to Sep's entry and respond with video, offering a small smile.] I would appreciate the offer of aid should I need it.

I feel I should also offer up my own skills to help should you require them. Back in my world I have worked with a healer to sustain the spirits of the injured while they receive healing; though its usually only required if the person is mortally wounded. I also know how to make some poultices and can use a little healing magic myself. [He pauses and then flushes slightly.] Not that I mean to undermine you or suggest you need my help, of course.

[Mildly:] It is foolish not to consider all options when in pain. Stoic suffering isn't particularly useful.

[That almost elicits a laugh.]

You have not had much cause to suffer, then, in your life.

[Septimus decides it's a good thing she can't see his face.

His mild tone doesn't waver--but somewhere faintly in the background is an almost unnoticeable hiss. In the nearest pool of water, the temperature has spiked sharply.]

I've seen people with far worse lives.

[Magic is an entirely new concept to Finnick still, but the more he hears about it, the more interesting it becomes. Besides, it looks like this guy is his suite mate, so it doesn't help to be a little friendly.]

You can heal by using the water? [a grin.] I always knew it had special properties.

[Septimus actually pauses, looking quite thoughtful. Beneath that, he is suddenly, painfully reminded of his close call at Seven Hills--if he'd had that kind of help-- (He doesn't bother thinking about Calderon Valley. It wouldn't have ended any other way.)]

No. No, the... sustaining someone so close to death might be very helpful. I hope we'd never have to [only a faint tightening of his eyes, barely noticeable, shows how ill the thought makes him] but if it gives me time to work, we might well save lives.

We should definitely talk--I'm sure there's a lot we could teach each other. [Even if--arrogantly or not--he suspects the teaching will in greater part be his. In his mind he can hear his father's voice: 'Children.' And Sep knows it would be about himself as much as Tris.] Especially in case the two ways of healing might interfere with each other.

[Ah yes, the new arrival. And friendly enough.]

I'm rather fond of its peculiarities. [It reminds him of Isana.] But yes, I do. No one where you come from does?

I think I'll pass on that one. Water also drowns people.

[Half the time she leaves from the third story window, so she can be hard to catch.]

You're hardly to blame. I've been keeping to myself.

[While he hasn't felt like he had a reason to use the third story window.]

[Shrug and smile. Nita is easy-going.]

[Normal people don't use windows. Sep desperately wants to feel normal.]

With a new neighbor, maybe we should all get together, to know each other's faces better.

No, I think people are healed the old fashioned way. Herbs, the skill of a person, medications. [Finnick frowns for a split second.] This magic thing is a little new.
