But on the last day of the festival, two people - Princess Yue and another woman I haven't really spoken with - were dragged up on stage by a gang leader and threatened with public executions. The man ranted for a while about how we've been brought here to 'save' everyone and then the head of the police force here, Evandau, appeared and killed the gang leaders.
It was awful. It felt like-- it reminded me of Amon. A show of power in front of everyone like that... I'm not sure which was worse, the gang leader or the chief of police. I don't feel like we can trust anyone here. Not the Emperor, not the police... maybe other foreigners, if we're lucky.
