[Combeferre's voice is quiet; a little resigned, but it won't do to grieve on the network. Certainly not in public.]

Michel Enjolras has left Tu Vishan. His rooms are empty. I must request that those of you who know Grantaire pray do not mention it to him; I am certain he will not take it well, at all, and he is already suffering as it stands. He shall be informed once he is less poorly.

I do not know what happens when one leaves this place, but I wish him well.

[Jehan is at his apartment, having left Bryn with R for now. He's obviously upset, but trying to hide it]

We shall pretend that Enjolras was discovered to have left only days before we finally tell Grantaire, yes? I will tell him that Enjolras as taken ill and that is why he has not come to visit, if he asks.

[So is he, but he will grieve later. More than likely in private.]

That does sound like our best option, though I do hate to mislead him so.

Perhaps he will return before Grantaire has recovered. Then he will never have to know the truth. He would not be able to handle the truth, I believe. He is so ill right now I believe it would kill him to know.

Perhaps. I do hope so, I do not wish to think of him...[He trails off for a moment, then shakes his head.]

It has not been too difficult to tend to him.

Should he take a turn for the worse, I will send for you of course. I did not imagine going without wine would make him so ill.

Nor did I, but ...he did drink very often.

But it is as if his heart or blood has been taken from him, not simply wine.

There is little we can do about that, unfortunately -- I do not think wine is a bodily humor.

Perhaps it is for Grantaire. What would it have replaced, I wonder.

Blood, perhaps? He is certainly in a morbid state.

He is always in such a state. Is there anything to be done for him?

He is no longer physically ill, thank God, but he is running a fever. Shakes, lack of appetite, the sort of thing that makes one worry.

[He tsks a little under his breath.] He is over the worst of it for now, but it is important that he eats. I must admit I have not -- treated such a thing, overmuch.

I imagine you've treated it more than I have. It is not easy to make him eat for it isn't what he wants.

I know. I should ask Enjolras to speak with him if he were here, but --

I wish I had thought to have him speak to Grantaire before. I did not think it would have been wise at the time.

Huh... looks like a bunch of people just disappeared. Is this normal?
