[When the feed comes on, Leia spends more time fiddling with it than actually saying anything--adjusting the camera angle, inspecting the device, etc. She wants to make sure she's doing this right! This kind of technology is beyond what she's used to. When she's finally satisfied with it, she gives a bright smile.]

Right, sorry about that. [She clears her throat.] So, hi there! My name's Leia, and I'm pretty new here. I can't say that being dragged into some kind of war is my idea of going some place new, but it is what it is, right? Not like I was busy with my own important matters or anything...

[Despite her attempt to remain positive, she kind of tapers off at the end. Being told you're supposed to fight in a war is a big deal!! Even so, she won't let that get her turn down, and after a moment comes back in full force.] Still! From what I can tell, it doesn't seem like we're always in some kind of trouble here. I know it's kind of a silly question to ask, but what do you guys do here in the meantime? I'm up for hearing about anything honestly. As neat as it is living in a tree house, I figure I should find something to do here when I'm not fighting in some kind of war apparently.

Not anything in particular, really. [And boy does she wish she had some.] I was studying nursing back home, but I haven't really done anything with that in a while either.

[strategisch]

Well, if you feel like picking it up again, there's a clinic run in the Earth sector. I know one of the nurses there.

[soulstoker]

Yeah, I think that might be something to check out! It's not like I know what else to do here after all.

[strategisch]

You'll figure things out. Even these strange devices-- it all comes with time.

Where are you living?

[She laughs a bit sheepishly.] I sure hope so! This thing seems like it could come in handy, so hopefully it won't take too long to get the hang of it.

I think they called it the Wood Sector? Or at least that seems to make the most sense for giant tree houses.

[strategisch]

You will. There's nothing like it in my world, and now I don't even have to think twice.

That's where I am too. It's very comfortable-- an a lot quieter than the other sectors.

[soulstoker]

Really? There's nothing like this in mine either, so that's definitely a relief to hear! Thanks.

Yeah, I actually really like it here so far. The tree house is pretty cool, and there doesn't seem to be much trouble.

I think you'll fit in just fine, then.

I sure hope so. After all, if I'm really going to be stuck here for a while, it'd be bad if I didn't manage to fit in.

Hey, don't sweat it! But it's nice to meet you, Armin. [a beat] And you don't need to call me miss or anything. We look around the same age after all.

Ah, yes, sorry! It's a bad habit, when I see a woman dressed like a proper lady I forget that I don't have to be formal.

[He means this in the most polite way, of course. I don't think Armin's capable of hitting on anyone. :| But normally he's surrounded by people in unisex uniforms, so.]

Don't worry about it, it's nothing big, but... [She looks down at her clothes.] Wow, does this really look proper? Back home, most people told me I dressed too casually!

[No worries Armin, SHE GETS YOU. Just that, well. She never would've heard this described as proper in a million years back home. It's kind of surprising!]

[strategisch]

I'm used to seeing all the women around me in uniform. And your outfit is rather nice-- nicer than anything a girl in my world would wear.

[soulstoker]

Ohh, I get it now! You must be in the military or something, right? [She's not sure where else you'd need uniforms all the time aside from that.] But thanks, really! I like to think my outfit looks pretty nice, so I'm glad to hear it.

[strategisch]

Yes, I am. It's also where the formalities come from...

Yeah, that makes sense. Well, since you're here though, why not loosen up a bit? I doubt anyone would mind!

[He also doesn't want to soften up too much, but he agrees with her to a point.]
