[This is a far more serious and somber looking Courfeyrac than what the network has seen of him lately. Still, with everything going on, he just can't leave this without comment. He's in his room in the Wood sector, but there are things around that don't quite fit in with his sense of decor.]
With much of what's going on, with what happened to the Emperor and everything, there's bound to be confusion everywhere... however, for those of you that knew-- know him...
It would appear that Jehan Prouvaire has left the turtle-- I stopped by yesterday to check on him and he was no longer there. There were gifts in his apartment that I will distribute for Christmas...
[He forces a small smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes and lets out a dry laugh.]
There's not much good news around here lately, is there?

Video:
No my friend, it would appear that there is not. I do not...
[A small sigh escapes his lips there.]
Thank you for telling us.

Re: Video:
Would you like some company just now, perhaps? Finding out on your own cannot have been easy.

I...is there anything that I might do along the way?
[Because he's already shrugging on his coat and starting for Courfeyrac's.]

Oh Courfeyac. Another of us.
[And there's a sigh there, definitely audible.]

[He gestures for Enjolras to enter and take a seat.]

God...
Just when one considers they've found happiness of a sort, the possibility of losing it, then actually losing it occurs. I had hoped after Grantaire...
Well. Clearly that was not to be the case.
[And here, he's reaching out, to actually grasp Courfeyrac's hand.]
We cannot promise each other we will not be parted, and I know it. But we are here now, diminished as we are. Do you mind terribly if I make myself certain of it?

[He is still rather new to all of this, and the concept of 'departing' had been very briefly covered to him in the context of Grantaire, however...]
That you are unusually dour makes me unable to doubt you, certainly, but-- are you certain of it?
[Men had been known to take a walk about, after all! Might that not be all of it?]
Quite certain?

Quite certain... He was on bed rest still with his cold... and I remained at his apartment through the night hoping he would return.

[That... that was terrible, really. And it made him indelibly nervous.
Still, taking a breath, he found a weak smile.]
We shall have to toast to him. And you! You shall need some fresh air, away from those rooms.
[The gone may be gone, but the air of illness could still linger... not something he wished to lose a second friend to, thank you.]

A toast sounds of the perfect way to see him through.

Thank you. Losing friends again is never a welcome experience-- to say the least.

If there is anything I can do, if you need company...

I'll leave the door unlocked.

Surely he is not far? Last I was on my way to visit you, I took a wrong turn in the woods and came upon the beach instead...
[But he is not sure that Courfeyrac would not put up such a signal if he weren't 100% sure of Jehan's absence. He hesitates, and then glances down a bit in his own mourning.]
... I am sorry. Would you like to meet and have a drink?
[He cannot help but smile at the anecdote Bossuet offers him, however, and manages a very small laugh.]
I would enjoy a drink right now very much. At one of ours or an establishment of some sort?
[With a wry smile.] I would do you no favour in such a scorched state, I fear, my dear friend.
But worry not! Here is a bar I have come to frequent, that the trip would not be too much out of your way. It is in an alley closest to the border that divides us; I shall meet you there shortly?
I will be there as quickly as these feet will allow and look forward to some excellent company at that time. Call upon me if you beat me there and have become worried... Alleys can be worrisome, after all.
[video] -> [action]
[A grin, a wave, and then the screen is off.
He's standing outside the tavern, leaning casually against the wall and nodding a hello at some young kedan women passing by when you see him.]
[action]
I had not expected you to find your way here quicker than myself, Bossuet. I was certain you'd be waylaid somehow.
[action]
Besides, the naiads of the canals have already had their taste of me and found me wanting; I take it to be a sign of bad luck, actually, that they will do me no favours when next I take a dip!
[Smiling just a little, and holding the door open for him.]
After you, my friend.
[action]
[He laughs and walks in first, removing his hat as he does so.]
I thank you.

[Chuckling a little, following Courfeyrac inside.]
