[Anna looks nervous as she switches the feed on, chewing on the corner of her lip and twiddling her fingers. She's been feeling pretty useless lately, especially in light of this miasma-bottle thing. But she's still trying to put her best self forward. She needs to check on her friends and family.]

Um- Hi, everyone! Again. I just thought I should check in, and- I'm okay. Just a little- shocked at everything that's happened lately. [She lets out a nervous little laugh, managing a smile as she brushes back some hair.] I mean, things have been pretty crazy! Everyone said that they would be, but I didn't know it'd be all-- yeesh! You know?

A-Anyway. How's everyone doing? Safe, and not in a bottle, and miasma-less, I hope?

[She smiles, brushing some hair from her eyes.]

Oh, I'm glad that you're safe, too! Did- Did you go in there at all?

[Natalia returns the smile with a kind expression.]

Yes. Since I'm an experienced archer, and I know what it's like to live in a world plagued by miasma, I thought it would be better for me to go.

Is... your world covered in miasma like that?

Not anymore, thankfully. Long-term exposure would have led to illness and death for most of the population, so it was necessary to find a way to dispel it.

Good thing you did, then! There isn't anything like that back where I'm from. I just- I didn't know what to do about any of it.

That's certainly understandable, especially if you've never dealt with these sorts of situations before.

Yeah...

[She chews on the corner of her lip for a second, and then gives Natalia an almost serious sort of look.]

You said that you're an archer, right?

Yes, I've achieved master rank in Lanvaldearian-style archery, to be precise.

Right! So since you're a master and all, do you think that you could - I don't know - teach me?

[Natalia didn't expect that kind of request, although she's pleased to see Anna trying to take some initiative -- and, okay, a bit flattered that she'd ask her to be her teacher.]

If you're serious about learning, I would be glad to help you! Archery enables you to fight from a distance, which gives you quite the advantage in battle. However, I must stress that it requires a lot of practice.

Oh, I am! I don't want to just- sit around and wait next time something happens, so I thought, you know, archery would be good to learn.

And I'm okay with practicing! I'll practice all the time, so- bring it on!

My! Well, if you're as diligent as you are enthusiastic, then I'm sure you'll do well. When would you like to begin?

Well, you're the teacher! Whenever's best for you, I guess!

We should compare our schedules and see what works for both of us. I'm free on...'Thursday' and 'Friday' -- I believe that's what people call those days? But I'm also willing to see you on other days after my work is finished.

[She laughs a little at that, mostly at herself for forgetting that everyone comes from different places and that days of the week would be different between them all.]

I think can do Thursday! Oh- and congratulations on finding a job!

Thank you. I do a lot of volunteer work, but I also help take inventory and assist customers at one of the local shops. It's been quite fun!

[Working for money is still kind of a novelty to her. She's not sure if she'll ever really get used to it. In all honesty, she hopes she isn't around long enough to settle in with it too much.]

Anyway, I suppose it would be good to start you off with the basics. Would you like us to find a bow for you first, or would you feel better using mine for a couple lessons beforehand?

Oh, really? That's great! What kind of shop is it?

[Anna can only imagine. So far she's really only been helping at the Welcome Center, which doesn't pay, but she's enjoyed it.]

Well... I guess I should probably get my own? I'd feel bad for borrowing yours all the time, otherwise.

A tea shop. They have a lot of blends I've never tried before, so I'm always learning something new when I'm there. If you ever have time, you should pay us a visit.

[She'd say that even if she didn't work there, but it never hurts to do a little advertising.

As for the bow issue, Natalia pauses, thinking over Anna's words for a moment.]

That's true. I'm happy to let you use mine during our time together, but it probably would be better for you to have your own for when you practice outside of lessons.

[She smiles warmly at that.] Some tea sounds wonderful. I'd love to come by sometime!

Exactly! I... may need a little help finding one, though. I wouldn't know what to look for!

Leave it to me! Back home, it wasn't unusual for me to change my bow when I came across a better design, so I know exactly what to look for.

Oh, great! I guess I'll be deferring to you on that!

Very well. In that case, shall I ask around for weapons shop recommendations?
