Mike hasn't messed with it, so if Don or Leo or Raph trusted you enough to consider you part of the family, then you're seeing this.

What this is, is Mike looking spread way too thin around the edges. Like someone who's maybe had one too many sleepless nights, and quite possibly spent a little too much time away from his own lantern.]

I think Raph's gone. Like...gone gone.
I've checked everywhere, and he hasn't been here.

He hasn't shown up at the dojo for his shifts. I can't find him anywhere either.

[Beat.]

Leonardo either.

[Mike swallows hard.]

Oh. Okay. Um...thanks Korra.
How...how're you doing?

[The speed with which he forces his own emotions down in favor of offering up a neutral/happy face for Korra is staggering.]

[She manages a strained smile, returning the favor. It's harder on Mike and it's obvious.]

I'm fine. [Batting the focus back on him is what she's about to do, but Korra stops herself.]

...my dad's here. He's been settling in.

Oh yeah? That's cool. How's he liking it around here so far?

[Yes. Small talk. Small talk is good. Let's keep that up.]

[That she can do. Korra leans her arms on the desk and her wan smile catches the console's glow in the dark room.]

It's different, but I've been filling him in on what's been happening and he's been talking to some others here too. You should have seen his face when he ate bacon for the first time.

[Mike's eyes go wide as he remembers the very first time he tried bacon.]

Was it magical? I bet it was magical. I can't imagine it being anything but magical.

[Normally she'd skate over the important detail, but Mike needs something like this.]

It was, he ate like three strips at once. But I didn't get to ask since we were talking and I kind of blew up at him over something from a long time ago.

You...got angry in the presence of bacon?
Is that...how is that even possible?

Are you okay?

[She chuckles.]

Yeah, I'm fine. We're good, and we did finish off the bacon. It was just something I need to vent out after that many years. My dad's a good guy, he knows that I can get like that.

[She smirks.]

After all, he's where I get it from.

Well so long as the bacon was finished.

[A small genuine smile actually appears.]

I'd love to meet him sometime, your dad, I mean. The bacon you've already eaten I'm all set with not getting to know.

Hard to miss him, he's a pretty big guy. Answers to Tonraq, but I call him dad. [She grins.]

Guess we'll just have to find some new bacon then. Is there such a thing as a bacon pizza?

You do realize you're saying that to a guy that doesn't break five feet tall, right? To me everyone is a pretty big guy.

As a matter of fact there is bacon pizza. Well...sort of. Add pineapple too and you've got a Hawaiian.

Then maybe we can get a Hawaiian going. I'm sure my giant of a dad would like it.

[Mike doesn't know how to respond to this, because on the one hand: Yes. Yes he very much does. And no...because he knows it'll be the only thing to get him out of the house.]

I don't think the pizza making is going to be that intensive.

Depends on how big you think we should make it. My dad can almost eat as much as I can.

[Almost. Well, probably. But she's not going to admit that.]

And I'm pretty sure I could out eat you both, so...challenge accepted.
