All right, hear me out. [ Yes, this is Cain. Cain has been startlingly quiet and going about his own routine lately. Why? Better not to ask. Looks like he's back in the groove of things, however. ] Things have been surprisingly upbeat considering we're all spending what's commonly a holiday season in an impenetrable fog, but I had an idea. Nothing too complicated or earth-shattering. While all of our sophisticated livelihood is on hold... why don't we go camping?

No adventure required. Just good ol' returning to roots and nature and all of that. Good chance to get some life skills or if you're ancient enough to know the days before electricity, wake up that muscle memory. Besides, fog seems clearer the further you get from town if you don't get too close to the shore so maybe we'd actually see sunlight while we're out and about.

When do you want to go, how long of a trip, and which sector do you want to leave from?

I figure south out of the Wood Sector would be our best bet. Head toward the center of the turtle's back. Higher ground to raise us out of the fog even a little bit and it'll make the return journey easier.

As for when, it depends on who wants to come and when they can.

For the past decade, prior to arrival here, 'hermit' could be an accurate description of how I lived.

The exact nature of the local plants and animals will be beyond me, but it would not be incorrect to say I am more comfortable outside of cities than in them.

Huh. Me, I went for modern convenience as soon as I could so your more-recent experience wouldn't be out of place. We could probably pick up a few books about flora and fauna before we leave, come to think of it.

... I will be glad to return to easy hot water, when the trip is done. [ He uh. has Issues with how 'modern' came about in his world.
