[When the video starts, the man sitting at the console is still peering warily at some of the hardware. It doesn't seem quite as advanced as the systems he'd outfitted the Aquacave with, but he doesn't particularly trust much of anything here. He's blond, probably tall, and somewhat damp-looking, dressed in an... interesting... orange scaled shirt. His posture is also impeccable, almost royal.] It isn't every day I start things off by being fished out of the sea. [He's not pleased. Not pleased at all, which is obvious from his scathing tone.] The joke is much less humorous to my wife and me.

Obviously I've been... filled in... by the natives, but I'm not sure I trust the information given. Alternate dimensions are rarely so straight-forward. [He mumbles something under his breath and it probably isn't all that appropriate or kingly, but hey, alternate dimensions, just another Tuesday. Or whatever day it is.]

For some of it, trusting it's better than the alternative. The part about time being at a standstill while you're here seems to be accurate, at least.

['Ordinary human teenager' probably wasn't on the list of people you'd like to speak to Arthur, but observe Pete not caring.]

Besides, we're in a city on the back of a giant turtle. Gotta figure that's not the only weird thing about this place.

And that's been confirmed how? [He's skeptical, but kind of hoping that bit is true. Because wow, he has shit to do in Atlantis that's pretty time-sensitive.]

A city built on an ancient creature isn't actually that strange.

A few refugees have been pulled from the same universe, and the same timeline, and none who remember the others going missing.

[At least not as far as giant inter-dimensional turtle cities go.]

Logically, that means the claim that time is temporarily stopped back home is pretty accurate.

[Well, that, or it's an extremely complex and convoluted mass hypnosis plot. For everyone. Across all the universes, and all timelines within those universes. Guess which one he believes is more plausible.]

[Peter you would make sense if Arthur wasn't a DC comics character. But his world is insane so that just gets a flat look and an arched eyebrow.] Not necessarily. Things are rarely that simple or... clear-cut.

Better than the alternative. That involves assuming there isn't a way to get home and we've been cut off from our own home universes entirely.

But if you've got any other theories, I'd love to hear them. So would half the city, actually. Not a lot of trust in the locals going around out there.

Making assumptions isn't going to help either way. [He'd much rather find some concrete facts and be realistic about the whole thing. If he can't get back to Atlantis... well, that's important to know, too.]

I've been here less than forty-eight hours, it's a little early for theories. I was hoping for some more useful information.

Alright--don't get too far from the giant turtle unless you're in a hurry to pass out. And then either wash up on the shell or get fished out again.

I don't know if anyone's measured the maximum distance yet, but I know Nita and Superboy were involved in testing the limits of it.

[Huh. Superboy too. How many people he's heard of are even here? And yet no one he really, genuinely wants to see.]
