[Liz has been here a little while now, and in that time she's managed to calm down some, as well as look over the network to see just what's going on.

So for now, she only has a couple of immediate concerns.]

I've got two questions for the people here.

One, has anybody here heard of the B.P.R.D.?

Two, does anyone know where I can get a damn cigarette? [Falling back on old habits under stress? You bet.]

[His voice is the same long-suffering tone as someone who's endured the same rhetoric for years.]

There are things that can kill me a lot faster. [She's smirking a little, even though Bruce can't actually see it.]

Thanks for the offer, though. But as long as there's more than one pipe in this place, I think you can keep yours.

In that case, there's a place in the Fire Sector that sells excellent tobacco. I'd... send you coordinates but I'm afraid I have no idea how to read their blasted street signs.

[Actually he's been categorizing all the symbols and translating them in his mancave but shhh.]

Not necessarily transdimensional, but I've been around. Occupational hazard.

Of being in the B.P.R.D?

Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Things can get messy in the line of duty.

It's fine. After a while, you learn to deal with things as they come.

I suppose that's one way to look at it.

Better than panicking every time something new happens.

I wouldn't mind borrowing a little of that poise.

Learn how to breathe properly and you'll be off to a good start. [A mix of both sarcasm and genuine advice. You can't exactly keep a level head in a new situation if you're busy hyperventilating, after all.]
