Iiiii should've had Leo bring them up to the building first OH WELL I know you judge me forever

[Leo's already impressed.

See, Raphael doesn't exactly do the "moment of silence before combat" thing. Leo's seen him do it under duress, to get ahold of his temper - and truth be told he's incredibly proud of his brother for the work he's put in on controlling his anger - but it's not standard pre-match preparation for his brother. Raphael has always had more of a "let's get to it already" attitude on the mat.

And then the attack. It's not Raphael's usual charge, it's... it's smart. And different. Leo has a split second to choose deflection or avoidance; fatigue and his injury choose for him. He doesn't jump, because he's getting a little tired, and he doesn't bat it out of the way because his shoulder hurts. Instead he spins to the left for a soft deflect, twisting his blade to glance his brother's weapon aside. The motion continues full circle into a diagonal slash - which of course means his side and shell are briefly exposed as he twirls. Leo is normally fast enough so that this doesn't typically present an issue, especially if he's using two blades.

But he's tired, and the pain in his dominant shoulder is getting worse as the night wears on. He should really get Donnie to check that out soon; even though his pride is driving him to put forward his best to meet his brother, it's slowing him down. His best is definitely short of usual - Leo would never choose to go into real combat like this.

The boy needs a serious smack-down.]
