[Holy crap, it's Leo on camera. And he seems a little tense - stressed, even. He's keeping his Pro Leader Face on but something has him rattled, badly.

One of his brothers is missing. If it had been Raph's place that was temporarily vacant, Leo wouldn't blink - Raph has his own friends and they do separate things now and then. But Donnie? Donnie hasn't been leaving his Metal Sector condo except to hunt for scrap metal... and it's been hours. Hours during which the resident genius is always in his ~~lab~~ suite.

Donnie is officially missing.

Leo doesn't really want to announce this across the mutant turtle community in one fell swoop, but he has little choice. He can't trust this message to the basic encryption setting, and he doesn't want to mess with the program Donnie hard-wired into his console for fear of breaking something. Right now it's fixed to a set group of IDs, and that's just where it'll have to stay for now.]

This is a Turtles-only broadcast. [Of course.]

When was the last time... anyone saw or spoke to Donnie?

[Leo starts to turn off the feed, but pauses as he remembers an important detail.]

And - keep your replies to video or text. Donnie said using audio would "crack the code open like an egg."

[So yeah don't do that.

His expression darkens for a moment, eyes moving off-screen in thought, before he glances back up at the screen and reaches forward to end transmission.]

Iiiiii haven't seen him. Cripes not since uh...probably the last big one of these that we did.

[Leo doesn't know how much he can hope for results here, but it's still depressing to get a negative. His voice is low and controlled; he's positively distracted with worry, but still holding it together.]

Have you been to his place? Were there any signs of struggle?

No, all his stuff's there. [Tangled notes, bundles of wires, new and half-made tegaki and shuriken and smoke bombs... everything in neurotically organized chaos. Leo knows what Donnie's work area looks like and this is it; no one's touched anything.] He's just - gone. I saw him about ten hours ago, he was fine.

[Well. As fine as Donnie's been these days. Leo was pretty sure he'd been trying to build a particle accelerator from scrap metal.]

Cripes that's ominous.

You uh...you okay?

[There is a distinct pause. Leo has a horrible gut feeling that Donnie is Gone. Not kidnapped, not AWOL, not distracted, just Gone. He's seen a few Network posts that mentioned missing foreigners. If this is a Thing that Happens around here...

That doesn't mean he'll forgo all the usual measures. It just means that a feeling of futility and loss will plague him the entire time, and with every negative confirmation the painful reality will sink in a little more.]

I'm fine.

[That was very tense and monotone, and his face is set in a leadership mask. Leo is so not fine.]

If you see him...

[Leo knows he doesn't have to finish that. Heck, he doesn't have to ask at all, he just doesn't want his own frame of mind to be the topic of conversation.]

[Instead of immediately answering, Raphael had made his way to Donatello's suite to look into his window.

The bag of food he'd left for him last night was still there. It was always gone before; even if Donnie sometimes forgot to eat, he was never one to waste food. None of them would, not even Mike.

A quick investigation confirms what Leo's also worried about; all his stuff is still there, and it looks like it hasn't been touched. Raphael makes his way back to his suite so he can access the post (after stopping at a cafe only to discover that the post isn't visible from there).]

Do you think he did it?

[There's only one "it" Raph can be talking about.]

I don't know. But I think if he was close, he'd have told us.

[No matter what Leo's nagging suspicions are, they'll approach this logistically. He won't leave a stone unturned, Donnie could still be here somewhere... Please.]

We'll start at Donnie's suite and move out to search the Metal Sector. Meet you there.

[They HAVE to try.]

If Donnie's missing and he's not back home, then he probably got kidnapped by the police here; I saw stuff about them doing that before. [Now he wishes he'd paid a little more attention to it.] We should be searching the palace.

[Yep Leo will accept input & direction from his brother. He lets Raph influence him entirely too much, actually. But this is good input.

However...]

We don't have any evidence either way. [Don't want to assume and head off in the complete wrong direction. There are some pretty vicious gangs in neighboring sectors after all, and entirely too many super-powered humans. Anything could have happened, but they just don't know yet.] We'll search his immediate area for clues, then go to the Palace if we don't find anything else.

[Deal?]

[Raph stews for a minute because he thinks searching the Metal Sector is a complete waste of time, time that could be better spent sneaking into the palace and ransacking that place before they get Donnie all nice and snug and secure, but fine.]

Fine. But the palace comes next.

[Ummm excuse you Raph, LEO would like to make sure that they're actually pointed in the right direction before shooting off like a loose cannon, thankyouverymuch.]
