08 ❄ ( TEXT )
[ After dropping by to see his fellow Guardian and give him the good news about the lifted rationing for kids, Jack's good mood completely deflates as he discovers Bunny's suite empty save for the warren-like growth inside of it and several caches of chocolates and other sweets left around. It's a while before Jack wants to do anything other than sit among the greenery and tell himself this is all right and that it's probably for the best.
Eventually he rouses himself, gathers all the edibles he can find and brings them back to his own suite. He'll disperse them between the kids and the food bank when he feels like he wants to deal with anyone else, but he has to at least let people know. ]
Bunnymund has gone back home
he was...
someone might need to take over caring for the wood sector
sorry.

Want some company?
Re: text
[ Because everything is fine, and there's nothing for her to worry about. And if he keeps repeating that, it will be true. ]
come to the field outside the wood sector
going to be learning with the east wind.
text > action
[She shuts off her console, closing the window on her way out. As a last minute thought, she grabs one of her hair ties and pulls her thick, black locks into a high ponytail. He mentioned Wind, so she figured she might as well come prepared in case this one was a playful as the last.]
[True to her word, she made it to the edge of the field in only a few minutes. Pausing just long enough to scan for any sign of his usual blue hoodie.]
action;
Hey Zatanna.
action;
[He was smiling, period. Considering everything, she'll take what she can get from him.]
So, what's all this about the East Wind? I thought you said you usually prefer the North?
Re: action;
Not prefer! Just more familiar with!
action;
Right.
So this is more like a meet-and-greet?
Re: action;
Mhm, sort of. I know all the winds, but the East has agreed to help me out with flying when the North needs a break.
[ The two mentioned entities gusted gently as each of them were mentioned, the difference tangible in the air as the East was warmer, carried the scent of growing things. ]
So we're going to take it very slowly... hopefully.
action;
Is it really that different?
Re: action;
[ The North wind settled around Zatanna, familiar and comforting, watching. The East swirled around Jack and rather than the smooth motion he normally had, he wobbled as he rose into the air, both arms spread out as though to keep his balance. ]
W-Whoa, there we go... see, it's not so h--
[ And suddenly he shot upward with a yelp as the East decided to give him a burst of speed. ]
Too fast, too fast!
action;
Hello to you too.
[Then her attention was quickly grabbed by the sight of Jack being tossed about by the East. She had to cover her mouth with both hands to keep from laughing.]
Does that mean it likes you?
Re: action;
[ And then the East wind, deciding it was giving a little too much energy, stopped. Letting Jack fall back towards the ground like... well, like someone once again bound like gravity. ]
Yipes!
action;
[Her eyes widened when he began to fall, instinctively holding out a hand in preparation to catch him with her own magic.]
Re: action;
Okay well... not bad for a first try.
action;
[A wince. That looked like it hurt.]
You okay?
Re: action;
[ He gets to his feet, giving himself a cursory brush off. ]
Round two, coming up.
action;
Yeah, what it said.
[She's assuming that was the WInd equivalent of Be Careful.]
Re: action;
So you figured this was going to be exciting enough to watch, huh?
action;
[She eyes him carefully. At least they seemed to be going a bit slower this time. Which was good. Maybe they were getting the hang of it?]
Re: action;
[ Jack pointed with his staff to the left, and the East Wind sent him wobbling in that direction. The North Wind surrounding Zatanna breezed something at the pair, advice, and Jack's flight smoothed a little more. ]
action;
Re: action;
[ Mindful of what had happened last time, Jack's body shifted in the air and he rose accordingly, though not with the rocket speed this time. ]
The May Queen uses a chariot-looking thing, so the South Wind has it easier.
action;
[She tilted her head back to follow him as he rose.]
We could always get you one of those chariot-looking things for yourself. How's silver and blue work for you?
Re: action;
[ At that, both Winds chuffed with laughter. ]
