[Kon's propping his elbow on the desk and resting his cheek against his knuckles. He looks a little dejected and sighs before taking a large bite out of a slice of pizza. He'd dubbed it pizza any way.]

So, I went to Rob's place and he's gone. Checked the whole shell and nothing. Apparently we became best buds in the future? So it's sort of...It kind of sucks.

So anyone up for what passes as a pepperoni pizza here?

[Kon's quick to get up and answer. Pulling his door open, he's instantly grinning and breathing in deep.]

That smells all sorts of amazing, Supes!

[Steps back to let him in. Don't mind the mess, it's typical teenager stuff. Plates, wrappers...things hanging from the ceiling and shoved into the nooks and crannies.]

[Oh Rao Kon. Sorry, but Clark is kind of a cleaning freak and he's kind of freaking out inwardly at how can anyone live in a place like this, geez. But years of living with Lois I leave things wherever they fall Lane has gotten him rather used to it so he merely wrinkles his nose.]

You're welcome, but Kon-El... this house could really use a little cleaning up.

[He didn't miss that nose wrinkle and he ends up looking around his own place and snorts.]

It's fine. I know where everything is.

[He lets out an amused snort.]

I don't doubt that, Lois says exactly the same. It's your living space I guess.

[He smiles at Kon. Be glad he doesn't nag you like a mother hen to clean everything up.] Well, ready to try this experiment up? I think it looks like it will taste nice enough...

Organised mess, it's how to do things these days.

[He grins and walks over to the table and couch where he wipes off the mess onto the floor.]

I am so ready for this, it's gotta be better than what I can do, right?

[He laughs a bit at how eager he is, leaving the food somewhere in the kitchen.]

Don't sell yourself short, I'm sure you could learn with time. There's enough for both of us, I think.

Well, no one got food poisoning at the barbeque so that's good I guess?

So...how you finding it here? Totally different from Metropolis, huh?

You could aim a little higher than that, Kon-El.

[He smiles at him with a little shrug] Nothing is like Metropolis, but I can't complain. There's enough people in here from our world that I don't have to feel like a complete stranger alone in a new land.

Okay, it was pretty good and I learned some stuff. Especially with fish. And hey, still young, right?

[Kon wrinkles his nose.]

It's all Bats though. Well, except you and Lois.

I still get like that with Hawaii, kind of really miss it a lot of the time.

I miss it, too. But it helps to think it's only temporary.

[He smies at him] So it'd be better to make the most of the time we spend in here.

It's only Lois and I but you're still welcome to visit us anytime. You aren't alone.

I dunno, part of me kinda hopes it is temporary and another thinks it might be a little okay if it wasn't? More because of the people I've met here than what might be going on back home.

[He smiles back though and brings his arms up to cross behind his head.]

But yeah, totally want to see people again.

[His smile gets bigger and turns into a grin.]

Thanks Supes, that...actually really means a lot.

[He smiles at him, moving his hand in a dismissing movement because really, that is nothing to thank him for.]

Any time. Us Metropolitans have to stick together.

[He's still grinning at that because, best news! He nods and drops his arms.]

Yeah! So, I wanna try this pizza of yours!

[He smiles, letting his eye-lasers do the job of heating the pizza up.]

You eat almost as much as I do from the looks of it.

Man, you should see me and Bart when we get going.

[He looks over at the pizza and moves over to it to take a slice.]

Something tells me I wouldn't actually not like to see that.

[He takes a slice, but as they eat it becomes obvious he's letting Kon eat the most of it.]

It's amazing. Bart cheats though, you know with being a speedster and everything, but it's still pretty cool. We had to have everything stocked up loads. Especially after going out and kicking ass.

[He's almost speaking matter of factly and hoovers the slice up because he's hungry and Kal's helping and the pizza's actually pretty amazing.]

Hey! Congrats! This doesn't suck.

[He nods, acknowledging what he's saying. But he's afraid if they keep talking about Bart he'll end saying more than he should- about Barry and Wally not being Flash anymore and Bart taking the mantle. About him dying then coming back to life... like Kon himself did.

Timelines will be the death of him. But his "compliment" gets him to stop over-thinking and laugh.]

Am I supposed to feel flattered? I'll try to cook for three anytime you want if you want variety in your food.

[That was something Tim hadn't told him about. All he knows is that he matures, bulks up and goes out with Cassie not to mention he becomes really close friends with Tim.

He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand.]

Yeah, I don't usually compliment people on their cooking skills.

[He perks a little and grins.]

You wouldn't mind? That'd be fresh!

Guess that works then.

[He shrugs] Not at all. Actually, you can come by with Lois and I anytime.

[Kon was actually blown away by this. He didn't want to look or think too much into it in case he was seeing more than was really there. But, it meant so much and he hadn't even realised how much.]

[Kal is just now realizing he's assumed too much. Kon isn't from his own timeline, hasn't been through what he had. Hasn't had a golden statue of himself put right next to Kal's, hasn't lived with the Kents...

He should be there more for him.]

It's nothing, Kon-El. Aren't we family in a way?

[He laughs and rubs the back of his neck, shrugging one shoulder.]

I guess? I always thought you found me kind of really annoying being honest.

It...It isn't nothing. Not to me.

[He laughs] You're... I guess I could say you're an acquired taste.

But that doesn't mean I don't like your company.

[There's something that could probably be called a bashful smile. He knew there were people who couldn't deal with him.]

I don't mean to be a pain, or to annoy people or make it difficult.

I'll...try to cut it down.
