[The video feed pops on to the sight of a dashing- if he might say so himself- man in his seeming mid-thirties, grinning widely at the camera; he has a somewhat period look about him, dressed in a button up, suspenders, and a greatcoat that speaks of war, but there's a spark in his gaze that speaks of mischief. After all, he's taken some time to read through recent activity on the network, and he's come across one very familiar name. It's a name he had not expected to hear again for some time, but if the tone of his voice when he calls it out is any indication, he's not disappointed in the least.]

Rose Tyler: what's a beautiful girl like you doing stuck in a place like this? [Jack gives a cheerful laugh, his grin stretching wide across his face.] It's been awhile. What do you say, you, me, a little celebration for our reunion?

[His eyes all but twinkle, and then he speaks again, addressing not Rose this time, but everyone else.] As for the rest of you; Captain Jack Harkness. [One hand raises in a half salute.] At your service. I'm sure it'll be a pleasure to meet each and every one of you. Until then, I'd love to hear more about this place, this- "In Between" business.

Same. [Yep, there's unmistakeable warmth that comes with that commonality. Steve's relationship with the War, if it can be called that, is an odd one.] U.S. Army, though.

[He picks up on the warmth easily, and he both understands the reasoning behind it, and returns it. While originally his time spent with the RAF had been only for a con, he fought for the right reasons the second time around, through both World Wars.] Always good to meet a fellow fighter. I hope the war treated you well.

As well as war can, sir. [Isn't that the truth. What he got out of it and what it took from him are scales he's still figuring out how to balance. Or avoiding thinking about, depending on the day.] If you don't mind my saying so, this doesn't seem to be that strange to you.

I've done a bit of time travel. [Because that much is bound to be obvious, considering his association with the Doctor.] It makes it a bit easier to accept suddenly ending up somewhere else.

[Steve exhales a laugh that turns into an attack of coughs, and he gives himself a few seconds of recovery time before he tries to speak again.] I hate time travel, and I've only done it once. Not really fond of aliens either, but they can't all be bad if Thor is anything to go by.

[S i g h.] Still didn't prepare me for this place. Oh- Steve. Captain Steve Rogers, Strategic Scientific Reserve. There's two of me here, but the other one is from another universe.

[That's not a good sound, and it's the second time he's heard it.] Are you alright?

[The mention of 'Thor' piques his interest.] Never met a Thor, but aliens come in all shapes and flavors, just like humans. Good, bad, ugly, they're all over the spectrum.

[An eyebrow arches at the mention of two of him, and his mind briefly flashes back to a time not too long ago, when there'd been more than on Doctor. This sounds like a different story, but not less interesting.] It's good to meet you, Captain.

[Gravelly:] I'm fine. It's nothing new.

[Not the whole truth, but enough of it.]

Apparently he was 'the' Thor, of the mythology. Or The Thor of my universe's mythology. Asgardian, is what he called himself. [UNIVERSES] Likewise, sir.

A so called god, then. [He'll have to ask the Doctor about that at some point. He doesn't remember any truth behind those particular myths in his universe, but it wouldn't be the first time on Earth's history that aliens masqueraded as gods.] I'd like to hear more about it sometime.

[When he continues, his tone is warm, inviting.] Please. Call me Jack.
