[ well someone looks like crap. she's sitting at the console with her hand in her hair, just so she doesn't have to pick up her head without the help of leaning on the desk, and she's kind of squinting because maybe the screen is too bright for her eyes. someone get her some giant sunglasses and a tiny dog, she looks like somebody that's about to crash from a long night of partying. it's great having her abilities back and all, right on, way to go guys, go team. but holy Hera- ]

This feels all kinds of weird to post about on a public network where lots of people can see it, but I figure hey, what the heck, we're living on a giant turtle right? So. Are there any psychics here that know a good remedy for a "hey-I-just-got-my-powers-back-and-it-kinda-hurts" induced migraines? I used to get headaches back home, but not like this. Eugh. I feel like I'm hungover. Or at least, I assume this is what being hungover feels like. Don't correct me if I'm wrong, please.

[ a pause, then- ]

And since we're on the subject of things I don't generally ask the public about, is there anybody else here in the business of telling the future? You know, clairvoyant? Back home I had dreams and visions, but here it's- it's different. I feel detached from it, in a way. I don't want to get into details, but, could someone please tell me I'm not the only Seer with a seeing problem? Just for my own peace of mind, mostly.

That's the thing, I haven't actually seen anything new since I got here. Not about here, or back home. Just replays of old nightmares. Especially in the face of that question, which manages to tug a grin out of him] Pretty awesome. I mean, I'm more like two-thirds with the ocean right now, but hopefully that'll improve. I'm mostly just glad that it means Asti's gonna be okay.

So... did you guys ever figure out what made him sick in the first place?

[He slides into Serious Demigod Mode here, and slams up some encryption] Yeah. Or at least, aprt of it. Annabeth's gonna make a proper post about it later, but basically we ended up taking a trip into the Death plane. There was some weird kind of design all over the turtle's back there, done in - in blood. [He's fairly calm, but there's a thread of horror and a thread of anger running through his voice]

Mally noticed us, but he didn't seem to think we were that important. At least, not until we washed away all the blood. That made him pretty angry, but there wasn't much he could do about it at that point, I guess. Or he was busy. We didn't actually see him, just felt his presence.

-- Death plane? Can we try maybe not, for two seconds, jumping into anything that involves the word 'death'?

[ but it's a rhetorical question because she didn't even wait until he as done talking before blurting it out. STILL. jesus, jackson. can we not ]

But, so. Who's Mally and why is he trying to curse the turtle?

[He winces before he can help himself and looks away. But then he's forcing a grin and turning it back on her, and hey Percy's back, everything's okay.] What can I say? I'm a magnet for that kind of thing. Or...to it.

But Mally's the thing that the Emperor bought us here to fight. That's not actually it's name, but we can't say that or else it'll - I don't know. Eat us or something. I don't know why he's trying to curse the turtle, except that it apparently wants to kill Asti. For whatever reason. It's like, Kronos levels of evil though. Gaea levels.

Has anyone actually made contact with He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named, or what?

Nooooooooooooot that I know about. Maybe one of the other teams? I kind of really hope no one else had to, to be honest. Even just getting a sense of him sucked. We need to be better...prepared, but I don't know how to do that.

I took six Advil-like painkillers and I'm still feeling it, so. [ she doesn't actually like whining about her pain, but hey, if another Seer shows up and says 'me too!', then she'll probably stop feeling so bad for herself. maybe. ] I think my brain is just protesting since my sight all came back at once.

Funny. I felt worse when we didn't have powers.

Probably because your body is built to harness those powers, mine gift was kind of a gamble, really. There was a chance that it wouldn't even, ah. Stick. So to speak. [ she maybe almost died before the Oracle settled into her body whatevernotthepoint ]

No, but I'd be totally into watching you fly sometime. That's probably really wild, right?

[But oh no headaches.] There might be local remedies, and I know there's a foreigner started pharmaceutical company. I don't... know how much the latter might help, since it's Seer based pain, but the kedan might have something that works a little better? I've never had to look, though.

Absolutely. This is where I would normally make a clever joke about how the Sight is actually some kind of cover for demigod-trouble-detectors, but I don't have it in me at the moment. Just pretend it was really witty, okay?

Hmm. [ headscratch ] Have you met anybody else like me here? With psychic abilities?

[She rolls her eyes.] What about the part where the Sight sends us into trouble? [Not that it's meant to be mean or jabbing. just, you know. Prophecies tend to do that.]

No. Not that I've been aware of. [Small sigh.] But there's a lot of herbal remedies here? Unless it ends up being something you just have to wait out. [Which would suck. She is hoping that does not happen.] The turtle can make dreams peaceful, but I wouldn't... know how to reach him for that.

You're thinking of it a little backwards, I'd say. You would be heading straight into trouble either way. The way I think of it is that I'm pretty much just an early warning system.

Hrn, maybe some turtle time would help, if it's as powerful as you two say. [ Annabeth and Percy, rightright, she doesn't have to specify ] Though that's interesting, I would've thought there would be at least one other creepy seer on the island. It's worth a shot. [Do it, try the turtle magic!!] There might be, but they could be keeping it to themselves. There's a lot of super secretive people here. Maybe they don't want to talk about their ability to See.

Oh, but you like the riddles, I know you do. Your face lit up like a kid on Christmas when I showed you that series of symbols I kept seeing over the summer but couldn't translate. It's 'cause you're good at that stuff.

There's a difference between a riddle and a prophecy. [Said like that's the most obvious thing in the world!! Because there is definitely a difference, however. Subtle.]

Gleeson wields that thing like it's the greatest weapon in the entire world. [She laughs softly.] He's honestly not that bad with it.

What about magical healers? [Is that a weird thing to say? Says the girl who can convince people to give her sports cars.]

I'm horrified and intrigued at the same time. Funny how satyrs always seem to have that effect on me.

They seem to be a really odd bunch, although Coach is really the only one that I know. And from what I understand, he's not anything like the others.

Why not? It can't hurt to ask, at least. I mean, if they can collect superheroes and demigods, healers really don't seem too far fetched to me. [And also she's worried about your headache there, Rachel, so she'd like to hope there's someone who can help.]

Yeah, he's a little more ..battle ready than a lot of the satyrs at camp, but they all have certain quirks and habits that leave an impression, that's for sure.

Hm. Wonder what it takes to lure those types out and about. There should really be an index of all the helpful people around here by now.

I am. It wasn't an official title until a few months ago, but I've had dreams and visions for as long as I can remember.

That... does take some getting used to. Were you trained?

No training, nope. Just kinda jumped into it head first and learned along the way. Is there training for those that have the Sight, in your world?

There can be, if you're able to find a mentor who is clairvoyant in the same ways you are. Other times, there are mystics who can show you good habits to pick up that make visions easier to receive, even if they can't be controlled.

Is that.. something you have some experience with, or-?

[ wow, subtle. ]

The latter, yes. It was something I was trained on.

Are there a lot of people with the Sight, in your world?

Not a lot, no. More specifically, there aren't many people who have enough of it to consider them seers. There are more people who have traces of it but don't know what it is: to them it might seem like they have merely good luck, good reflexes, or similar.
