It seems as if the immediate danger has ceased somewhat and furthermore I've gotten more settled in, so, as of today I will be taking appointments for therapy. The price will be fifteen juulan per session and both day and evening times will be available.

While I was unfortunately not brought here with my degrees and certifications, I assure you that I have many years of experience in this field and take the matter of patient confidentiality very seriously. Nothing said to me during these sessions will be repeated anywhere else.

All sessions will be held on the first floor of my suite in the fire sector - in building FI-3C. If you would like to make an appointment I suggest that you contact me privately. Any questions or concerns you might have are of course welcome, as well.

Then, either no one here needs an appointment - which is good - or the people who do need it are avoiding it for one of many possible reasons, which is unfortunate.

Why unfortunate? Their problems, they do want they want about them.

[Is it obvious yet that he's one of those people that falls into the latter group?]

Unfortunate because there are many people who would prefer to get help but fear factors such as unfair social stigma, or they feel that it would make them weak.

I don't see anything weak about wanting to keep things private.

[Scott really ought to know better than to make things personal but he's been less than pleased this entire time on the turtle thus far.]

No, there isn't anything weak about that. But it's not weak to seek help either, anymore than it would be weak to see a doctor for a broken bone or an infection.

[............Okay, point. Not that he'll admit it.]

So, what, talking out all of your troubles will magically make them go away?

Magically? Unfortunately not, I'm afraid it will take time and effort on the part of the patient, too. But it can be done.

And then what? Your patients move on with life with a smile on their face?

The move on better able to cope with their circumstances, or without the unwanted interference their particular issue was causing in their everyday life. Smiling isn't mandatory.

[Pause.

And then a curt:] I see.

You'll have to let me know how it goes. [It's a potential admission of interest.] Yeah, I know, patient confidentiality, but if things are working out or not.

[There's a nod and a pause while Scott ponders if he really wants to add anything else.]
