[Hello Turtle. This is a face that hasn't been over the communicators often at all... And hasn't really been out and about in the past two months. He's well dressed enough, but the circles under his eyes suggest he hasn't had a decent night's sleep in a while.

He smiles, an action that doesn't quite make it to his eyes, and tips his hat.]

It's been brought to my attention that I've been rather... Anti-social... as of late.

[He laughs, a hollow sound.]

This, my friends, is my attempt to fix that.

[It takes him a moment to answer the door, but he gets to it shortly. Jehan is greeted with a smile.]

When I called for company, I had not expected a home visit! Come in, won't you?

I thought it best to come to you, rather than invite you to my apartment.

On the contrary, it is quite important that I get out.

[But he's closing the door behind the port and going to grab a bottle of wine that he bought at the yard sale. He lifts it in an offer.]

Regardless, I do not mind your company keeping me present. Would you care for a glass?

[Good thing about the hypocrite is that Courfeyrac hasn't been paying attention... So he doesn't know if he's a hypocrite or not.]

I, perhaps, have not been sleeping as much as I should be.

[But it's not a huge deal, right? Who needs sleep.]

That may help us, yes... I know I'd enjoy it.

I would certainly enjoy your company. I have missed it. [And he would certainly appreciate a Courf to cling to, as well.]

Though, there are many reasons to be anti-social. But I suppose asking is a bit rude for one who is just passing by in this world.

I have had enough rest for now. I find that I have grown restless, even.

You can call me Traci. Mademoiselle is a little too formal for me.

So, what plans do you have to solve this? I mean, we can talk about the weather, but that rarely goes very far.

[ And so Marius arrives home—or well, his temporary lodging, at least—from work without the slightest knowledge of Courfeyrac's network post.

He's honestly been so spaced out that he hardly notices Courfeyrac's demeanor on most days, or if Courfeyrac is even there at all, but in the brief moments of lucidity he has noticed something... different about his dearest friend. He can't quite describe what it is, though; only that something has changed. That is what made him agree to Courfeyrac's insistence about finding him better clothing, after all, because if that causes his friend to feel better than he has little reason to deny him that pleasure.

He is, in any case, wearing the new coat they had purchased in the markets, although it is layered atop his older clothes. He steps inside the room and closes the door with a gentle click before taking off his (equally threadbare) hat. ]

[And how thankful Courfeyrac was that Marius allowed him to purchase the clothing. Next on his agenda should be to replace that hat... and the other clothes. But with due time to each of them. Seeing his Pontmercy friend returning, Courfeyrac gave him a small smile.]

Your hat does not match your new coat and it will make me weep if we do not fix that soon.

[Marius blinked, then blushed a light shade of red as he glanced down at his clothes.]

I did not... think it did. [Which, come to think of it, sounded not only silly but also a weak defense.]

Great! It's never a bad time to get more social. [So much grinning.] So, how about those Knights?

[He cannot help but laugh a little.]

Are you attempting small talk, sir? I've never been the best at that.

This is what being social is all about! [Dick laughs.] We talk about sports, the weather, restaurants. Don't bring up religion or politics, though, they're not good for small talk.
