For those less, ah, frivolously inclined than the previous poster, I have a slightly different topic of contemplation - again, feel free to discuss it among yourselves as well.

Have any of you noticed that, while the names of the streets here in Keeliai are in a completely unreadable language, we never have any trouble understanding the spoken word - not even of the youngest kedan?

Any thoughts on that and what it might signify?

It's probably related to something in the nature of this realm. Some kind of auto-translate, but through the mind rather than over paper or text. With so many people from different worlds, it's unlikely we'd all speak the same language. It could have been part of the summoning process as each person was brought here, or maybe another kind of magic after the fact.

It's convenient, for sure, but it does sort of make you wonder what else is possible. Though if they need us here for a reason, it's better if we were able to actually understand each other, kedan included.
