Jermayan has taken his time appearing- elves don't rush, after all, unless the situation urgently requires it. He scouted his neighbourhood, the tree-homes reminding him of Ysterialpoerin, and then returned to examine the console, considering what he might say. He was told that only others who were taken could access it, but he could not divine what purpose that held.

He had too many questions and no answers. It was time to seek them outside himself.]

This device is strange to me, and so I will beg your pardon for my brevity. I mean no incivility by it. I have only a desire not to shame myself entirely in front of an audience.

It would be good to know more of why we are brought here, and whether what our hosts have said is widely believed to be true. I was told to look for answers to the Emperor, but requests for an audience were denied and I have little faith in the word of those who kidnap me outright.

We are known as alicorns, in my land. A fair number of my subjects are unicorns, though clearly our realms are not the same.

I would be honoured to hear more of your land, if it would please you to speak of it.

I am Luna, Equestria's Princess of the Night. I rule alongside my sister, Celestia, and we move the sun and moon through the sky to bring night and day to the land. Though we are alicorns, our subjects are mortal ponies: earth, pegasus, and unicorn. There are other species as well, but no humans such as here.

[He's not sure what to make of that, but... it's quite fascinating.]

It would be interesting to know more of these mortal ponies- I am familiar with unicorns, but I have no knowledge of the pegasus.

Pegasi are quite like unicorns in form, save that they lack a horn. They have wings instead. That is where their magic rests; they can control weather and clouds.

From what we've gathered, yes. They are mostly telling the truth but they could be bending it just a little so we don't get too annoyed at them. And odds of actually getting an audience doesn't seem likely though. They're ever painfully shy or just really don't fancy a chat. Rude, I think, but what can you do?

It seems there is little we can do but wait for them to be more willing to tell us what we wish to know. To press them on this matter when they are reluctant would be equally discourteous.

I suppose. Or they're just very uninterested in your anger. Some things just are, they don't feel like you do.

The best thing to do is find a way to adapt and try not to get too bogged down in your annoyance or anger. I don't really think they're going to change much any time soon, unfortunately. But if you have skills, most people find a way to make a living here. It's almost recommended.

In truth, I had but lately returned from a task of some importance. It is fortunate that it was finished before I was taken. Some of those I seek were my companions on that journey, which is why I am of the mind that they may have been taken too.

[Because he still hasn't ruled out demons as the cause of all this, and demons would have more quarrel with Kellen than with him... though not by much.]

I am glad that you can find comfort in it, and I wish I could do the same. Being held for an unknown purpose by those with unknown intentions without hope of rescue, however, is a situation in which I find little peace.

Remember that thing you said about trying not to embarrass yourself? Talking about unicorns really isn't helping.

The Emperor sees people on her own time. I'm sure you'll get to see her eventually if you try hard enough, but most of the people here can probably answer a lot of your questions if you actually ask. If you're talking about the whole turtle thing and saving this civilization? Totally true.
