[ After reeling from what he's learned yesterday and realizing when he woke up today that this wasn't a freaky vivid dream, Isaac can be seen at one of the consoles in a console cafe. He's wearing the same clothes he showed up in. He's not so happy about it. ]

You guys really take these sectors literally, don't you? I literally live in the fire sector. It's everywhere. And gives off no heat. So, that's weird.

Also, internet cafes. Making a comeback. [ But, getting to the point. ] So, I have a few questions. Anyone can answer since this reaches everyone. Who would've thought, privacy, being an antiquated idea. [ Is something antiquated if it's not in the past but in another universe? So. ] Any modern clothing around here? I'd take anything in a V-neck. A sensible sweater. I like stripes. [ And scarves. Something decidedly not Chinese. ]

And does anybody think it's completely ridiculous that we're living on a giant turtle? Anybody? [ Bueller? ]

Also, policy on guests. I have friends [ friend, and one Stiles ] here and I'm pretty sure I have the nicest digs out of everyone. It's my place, right? All two stories? [ All his? If so, it's an amazing change of pace. ] Also. Cooking lessons. Pretty much realizing I can't. And this suite has a bitchin kitchen.

Also, I saw a guy advertise himself to get a job. Help with some kind of work. I feel like I should get a job. Earn my really nice keep. [ Seriously, that suite! ]

And finally, anyone ever think life can't get any worse and then it just does? [ That last one might be a rhetorical question. Though, it is a little good not to be surrounded by darachs and alphas. ] Funny how that works. But, hey, glad to know it's not me.

My father worked a lot and it was time I knew how. He wasn't going to cook for me if I went out of state for college.

How long did it take you to master?

Well, there was a lot of trial and error. Some things are easy to pick up, other things are more difficult. Cooking sausage [he narrows his eyes, there's probably some war stories behind that] can be really tricky because the outside usually browns before the internal temperature is safe for eating.

I'll remember that. It's timing, right? [ But, he already snagged two teachers! ]

Actually, not as much as you think. With links or bratwurst, you have to boil before or after you brown them. You lose the carmelising you get if you boil after though. [The more the merrier, right? Michaelangelo is from New York and Will is from Mississippi. Different cooking styles.]

[ He won't remember any of this but Will sounds more like a teacher than Mike. ]

I am. There's a market here and many family restaurants. I imagine it's a good place to come if you want to learn about food here.
