[Contary to his usual public presence on the network, Percy is look drained and tired, like he hasn't been sleeping well. He only adds to this impression with the way he drags a hand down his face before clearing his throat and speaking. Those who have seen him post before might recognise that he's in his suite in the Water Sector rather than the one he shares with Annabeth.]

Uh. Hi guys, long time no post, and all. I was just wondering if - has anyone seen Hazel Levesque, or Nico di Angelo? [A brief pause] Or Luke Castellan, I guess. I'm pretty sure they're gone, but - I thought I'd check.

[A sigh] It would be a lot easier if we knew for sure what happened to people when they disappeared, you know?

Hey. Can you guys all check in? I just want to make sure that everyone I think is still around is...actually still around, and okay. And if you need help with anything for whatever reason, just let the group know. We should - we need to stick together.

[Tightly:] I'd kind of prefer it if he wasn't.

[...Oh but that sounds like he wishes Luke was dead, and while maybe that was true once upon a time, it's not really. Not any more.] He's supposed to be in Elysium. Or - being reborn so he can try for the Isles of the Blessed. Not on the back of a giant turtle.

[Awkward.]

[Just when she was starting to wonder if Percy and Luke had some sort of bad history together...he elaborates. And she doesn't completely understand what Elysium or Isles of the Blessed or what any of that means, but she assumed Annabeth would if she asked. Must be another Ancient Greek thing.]

Is it really that bad, having a chance to see him again?

It's not like we'll all be here forever.

[He drags a hand back through his hair] I could do without it, let's just say.

[A big part of him wants to say 'how do you know that?', but Percy isn't built for that kind of fatalistic thinking.] Right. One way or another, we're getting out of this situation.

[A beat] Hey, we haven't talked in a while, though. How're you doing?

[She knows it the same way she "knows" that everyone gets to go home when they disappear from this place.]

Of course we are.

[Her shoulders visibly relax at the change of subject. Somehow, even with the past awkwardness of her existence on the turtle...still a more pleasant topic than disappearing friends.]

That depends. How much has Annabeth been telling you?

Um. [There's a pause, and he makes a bit of a face] Annabeth tells me a lot. [Meaning that a lot of it goes in one ear and out the other] The past few weeks have been kind of a mess, too. [To put it mildly]

[She interprets that face to mean 'a lot of things that may or may not be about you'--because if Annabeth had said anything about her recent adventures, she was fairly certain he'd be looking at her differently.]

[She visibly relaxes.]

Not for me. I've been a perfect angel and haven't gotten into a single ounce of trouble since the last time you saw me.

[If the tone wasn't a dead give away she was joking, the 'innocent' smile would be her ultimate downfall.]

[He just raises an eyebrow at her] You might wanna work on that face a little, I don't think it really does what you want it to.

Darn. I really thought I had it that time.

...well, for what it's worth, I've been trying to be a perfect angel and not get into trouble.

Have you ever noticed that like, it's always when you're really trying not to get into trouble, that's when the worst of it seems to happen?

And here I was thinking the universe had singled me out.

I once dropped my whole class into a shark tank on a field trip. Total accident, but guess who got expelled?

I'm guessing it wasn't the shark.

[A mournful sigh] I've been expelled from almost every school I've ever been to.

[Impressive. Zatanna's been grounded for life more times than she could count, but she'd never actually been expelled. There was the one teacher who didn't like her because she thought she was a witch...but since she actually was, and nobody else really cared, it didn't matter.]

That's a lot of sharks.

It wasn't just sharks, although it was usually water related. Demigods are just unlucky like that, you know?

Anyway, what's been up with you? I mean, you don't have to tell me, not if you don't want to.

[A shrug. After all that, her problems didn't really seem so bad.]

Just a little bit of teen drama. You know, the usual sort of thing.

Oh! I did move back into my suite, though. They finally fixed the roof.

[Percy makes a face] I really wish I didn't know, sometimes.

[But he brightens here] That's good! Jeez, have you been out of it since the satellite crashed?

What are you talking about? You and Annabeth are practically joined at the hip forever. That's half the reason I ended up asking her for advice.

...and, yeah. I'd been staying with a friend for a while.

[His tone turns dry] We've known each other since we were twelve. Trust me, it wasn't always like that. There was pretty much an entire year between our first kiss and the time we actually got together.

[Rubbing his forehead] I think I'm more behind than I thought I was. It's good that you've got it back, though.

[Oh, yeah. Right. Annabeth had mentioned something vaguely resembling those lines.]

Well...you're pretty attached now, and that's what matters, right?

[He grins a little] That's true. Hey, but if you need a distraction or something, I can - I don't know. Take you on a ride with Mrs O'Leary or introduce you to some fish. Or something.

Mrs O'Leary?

You haven't met her? She's my hel - my dog, she's my dog. [Except that was not smooth at all. He sighs] Who...happens to be a hellhound. She's trained.

[Hellhound, huh?]

[...you know, not the strangest thing she's ever heard.]

Well, if she's anything like Wolf from back home, I'm sure we'll get along famously.

She's pretty much the best. But who's Wolf?
