He only adds to this impression with the way he drags a hand down his face before clearing his throat and speaking. Those who have seen him post before might recognise that he's in his suite in the Water Sector rather than the one he shares with Annabeth.]

Uh. Hi guys, long time no post, and all. I was just wondering if - has anyone seen Hazel Levesque, or Nico di Angelo? [A brief pause] Or Luke Castellan, I guess. I'm pretty sure they're gone, but - I thought I'd check.

[A sigh] It would be a lot easier if we knew for sure what happened to people when they disappeared, you know?

[There's a pause. Something seems to come over Percy then ~~like maturity~~, a certain gravitas that Vanessa's probably never had the opportunity to see on him before] You're wrong. People are stronger than most other people give them credit for. Probably no one's going to like hearing this, yeah, because it sucks. But that doesn't mean they'll handle it badly. And it's not like it's going to be a surprise, either. People already know it's a possibility. There are probably people right now who know they're clones, because they died here and came back.

Most of the people in this place already come from places where they've had to deal with crap over and over, where they've had to overcome stuff. One of the people I found the facility with totally freaked out about it because clones ruined her homeworld or something! And she's fine now. That's why I think that the people here can handle this kind of information. We've all been handling crap since we got here, and a lot of us for way longer.

[He scrubs a tired hand over his face] So what if they do? It's not our job to babysit people, or keep them in the dark about information that effects them. We don't have that right, Vanessa. [He doesn't make any mention of telling people in her stead, though. He would in a heartbeat if she asked him to do it instead, but Percy's loyalty to his friend's is absolute.

And then the seriousness drops a little as he works his jaw] Wow, sorry, I talked for a thousand years there. I uh, I disagreed with keeping that information secret too. I don't know, if she's not going to tell everyone, I don't see why she should tell me. We barely know each other, you know?

I'm not wrong. But neither are you. I do think you're having a hard time admitting that I'm probably right, though. [Sigh.] Probably, Percy? Nobody is going to like hearing it. Forget the clones. The fact that our bodies have expiration dates is massive. Like, an Asti-sized bomb.

Not all people are the same, Percy. Not everyone reacts the same, or recovers the same. That's the beauty of the human experience: none of us are alike at all, despite how many similarities we might have.

[She's quiet for a moment.] We don't have a right to tell them, either, just because you think they should know.

[She feels really bad for arguing, though, and there's a huge part of her that just wants to give in, because arguing is bad. People don't like you when you're not submissive enough. But this is too important to just dump on people. It's too important to keep.

She shouldn't have said anything at all.] People trust you.

I just don't think keeping secrets helps anyone, in the long run. Even if you don't like it. It's like - I don't know, an illness or something. You don't not tell someone they're sick, even if it's going to upset them.

[Percy feels bad, too. The conversation has sort of calmed down, and he's hyper aware of how...worked up he's been getting over the course of this whole entry. It makes him uncomfortable with himself. He scrubs a hand tiredly over his face] Yeah. I know. [It's said sort of heavily - he's definitely not bragging, or taking it for granted. Percy is excruciatingly aware of just how much people tend to trust him, and he's kind of desperate to live up to that. But he's not sure if he can anymore.] I just don't think it's fair.

And - hey, just so you're not worrying about it or anything, I'm not going to tell anyone about the clone stuff. Not unless you're okay with it. I know it's a really hard decision to make, and I don't think that I'm like...better qualified to make it than you are. We're just coming from different places.

I don't think these two things are really all that similar of a comparison, Percy. Like I... I understand, okay? I just don't think we should until we know more. Until I know more.

[He could just tell people, she supposes, but she's glad that he hasn't. That he hasn't particularly betrayed her trust or anything. Guilt gnaws at her. Is it really better for people to know? Is it better for them to not? How is she supposed to make that kind of decision, anyway? Percy and Catty are on two totally opposite sides of the spectrum here, and that is really not helpful at all.]

Life isn't fair. [Her voice is soft as she says it. She has been through more than her fair share of life shitting on her, after all.]

Yeah, I know. I appreciate it. I'm just... There's just too many factors to consider before jumping into it headfirst. I don't want to start a blood bath, and I don't want to let people keep thinking the wrong things, either.

[He looks away] Yeah. I definitely know life isn’t fair.

[Percy sighs] I’ll let you know what we find out from Pepper, okay? Maybe her information will help, if she’s still willing to share it.

So, you're going to talk to her again?

[Awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck] I think...Annabeth's gonna do it. [It's a sad day when she's managing people better than him, to be honest.] But yeah, we're gonna try.

Okay. [Awkward pause.] Let me know, okay? If there's enough information, I'll... I'll tell people.

I will. I promise.
