[So Billy has been that bored that he's either listened and watched most of the conversations going on, and had moments of horrible home sickness. Boredom doesn't begin to cover how he's feeling. Now that the action has died down, it's just a constant moment of sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting. Waiting sucked.]

So, someone mentioned comic books. Kinda curious about who else here really read them back where they come from and what kind? What were they like? Heroes, blah, blah, blah.

I'm that bored and yeah, curious.

I'm into finding old issues, we have titles that are based on like hero teams from my world as well. Collect Avengers titles. They're uh...a team back home.

[He nods] Saved me from drowning once, actually. He's a good man. I've already met a girl who claims he's from a different world altogether so...

[He shrugs] I wouldn't get my hopes up, just in case.

Normal, huh. _{( he sort of chuckles, but it's dark. )}

Hm, must be weird to hear something like that, huh?

Yeah he's a real hero. [Billy makes a face and then slumps slightly.]

I think if he was from my world then...he'd recognise me.

Did it all work out okay?

[Because she's recently had it driven home that it doesn't always work out okay.]

Oh, don't you worry about life. It and time and everything to do with that sort of thing is never quite as predictable as anyone would think. And even then, time can be rewritten. You really never do know what's in store!

People that don't talk. Police that don't explain. I think we're beginning to sense a pattern here. I might have to pop in to the station. Doesn't matter if I can just go in. I've never been great at making appointments anyways.

[ wait something just occurred to him ] --what do you mean powers?

Dr. Richards is right. Infinite universes, parallel worlds, it's all out there! Why do you say it must be obviously true? Have you been to one?

[ because well it isn't usually quite that easy and it's not really common knowledge beyond just theory ]

Time travel isn't exactly my favourite thing to think about. [Not anymore. It used to be though. Not to mention the fact that he can sort of alter reality if he wanted.] Usually a lot of good things and a lot of bad things. That's what's involved. Depends what's been changed or going to be and every other little factors.

[Billy smiles.]

Just try not to get into too much trouble. Oh...uh like superpowers. Flying, lightening bolts, fire...powers.

[He's quiet and struggles to swallow. It's about a minute before he shakes his head and puts on a smile.]

We lost two mem- friends.

I'm assuming by your tone he doesn't?

I haven't spoken to him, didn't know he was here but... [He shrugs.] I woulda thought if he was from my world he'd make it known.

You've encountered time travel before. When did you say you were from? [ oh Billy he would be so very intrigued by you if he knew this!! ] And you're absolutely right. One little thing can change everything, can't it?

[ He smiles back with a sort of glee that really shouldn't be there because of the things they're talking about. But adventures are what gets his hearts a kickin! ] Oh, but getting into trouble's the best part.

Someone's been reading a bit too many comics.

A few times actually, experienced it once though. I'm uh, I'm from 2011. I also saw the consequences to the actions of changing history as well. That's why it's not really my favourite thing.

[Despite the bad things that had happened, he's still able to keep a smile about him. Okay, it kind of creeps into a grin.]

Trouble can be fun.

No, someone lives in my worlds version of New York City. [And also has the same powers but, ha ha not a secure connection.]

And you still remember that it was in fact a changed history and not simply how things had always been? How close to the eye of things were you? [ he's chalking it up to alternate realities because he really doesn't think Billy was around in Leadworth when he'd closed the cracks and reset the universe... ] I was just about to head to 2011, interestingly enough.

That's what I'm talking about! There's an offer on the table if you want to get into some.

And they've got these powers?

Oh. I'm sorry.

[She's mirroring his solemn expression, because, well, she's a few months off losing someone important, too.]

Yeah, came back to the present and nothing had changed except we had someone that was meant to have died. The eye? Do you mean the source? I was basically beside Nate. [He doesn't know terminology for much things like this.]

Heh, I don't see how it can hurt any.

[He takes a deep breath and straightens.]

So yeah, Doom's a horrible guy and no one was really surprised.

It'll probably just take some getting used to.

Yes, sorry. I meant whatever or whomever was causing it. But Nate, presumably, is the one responsible for rewriting time in your world?

You say "course" like it's an obvious thing. It really isn't. Humans evolve, sure, but they're not exactly known for suddenly developing the natural ability to fly. [ amongst other things ]

[Nita actually looks off to one side with an "awk-ward" expression on her face, since Latveria's an ally of Atlantis...even if she can't stand Doom herself.]

I, uh, officially have no opinion on that, okay? But I know how you feel.

Yeah and no. We went back with the promise his tech would hide us from the past. Well okay, it was either we stayed where we were and got caught, or we jumped into the timestream. Now? I'm kind of wishing we stayed where we were. One of...one of our friends saw her dad who dies and...he saw her. Then events carried on but we came to our timeline and it wasn't altered. Her dad was alive, but there was still a statue of her dad. So uh...basically she created different timelines. But it's cause of Nate's tech, he came from the 30th century.

[Man, that was never going to get easier to explain. Billy turns the feed to an encryption.]

Where I'm from, they can. We have what're called mutants and people who were caught in accidents of given gifts by people. [He feels okay with the Doctor so he taps his magic and there's a light blue light coming from below the screen and he lifts his hand which is covered in it. He keeps it concentrated to there.]

I'm a mutant and I can do more than just fly. Though flying isn't something natural to me, it's magic.

You kinda get an opinion when a guy tries to to kill you and only fails cause Magneto charges in and then when he actually kills someone that's like your little sister.

[He shrugs, not entirely old news but something he deals with.]

But yeah, I'm not gonna go on some tirade about how everyone should hate him and have the same opinion. That's just the start of 'bad things to happen' on this job.

With all the different people ere and others always turning up, I hope it does.

Not counting this one? [ Grin. ] Yeah. I kind of... got stuck in one. Kind of hard not to believe in them after that.

I... guess that's true.

[A pause.] I'm sorry? But I bet that doesn't even begin to cover it.
