[So Billy has been that bored that he's either listened and watched most of the conversations going on, and had moments of horrible home sickness. Boredom doesn't begin to cover how he's feeling. Now that the action has died down, it's just a constant moment of sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting. Waiting sucked.]

So, someone mentioned comic books. Kinda curious about who else here really read them back where they come from and what kind? What were they like? Heroes, blah, blah, blah.

I'm that bored and yeah, curious.

I'm into finding old issues, we have titles that are based on like hero teams from my world as well. Collect Avengers titles. They're uh...a team back home.

I'd offer a copy to loan out, but it seems like my library's misplaced itself again. Not in the swimming pool this time, mind you, but really properly misplaced itself. Everything has in fact which is a bit worrying.

[ don't mind the rambling, he really is the coolest ]

[Well, there's virtual high fives, but they aren't the same. It's catchy, so he's grinning back.] No way! They never seem to get it right or leave or really important and critical information. So you're like 'who is this guy?'

[He stops a moment.]

Wait, like literally a library or...something else?

[ pshh their high fives need to be legit. it'll happen when/if he ever spots billy in person. ]

Let's not even get started on the plot changers! What is the point when you've got a perfectly good one right there in front of you already? I, for one, wouldn't mind if that meant the movie had to be nearly seventeen hours long. I sat through one of those once — but it was also Huralian and about the wonders of cultivating slug-creatures.

Oh, hello Billy! I'm the Doctor. And yes, literally a library. And also literally the ship that the library was on. You haven't seen a blue phonebox anywhere, have you?

And then when they cast people that just don't fit! It's like, did you read the same thing I did? I wouldn't mind either...as long as it was interesting and not about...slug-creatures. I'd take a pass on that.

[He stares for a moment and looks around as if to see if there was magically a phonebox around.]

Uhm...not that I remember? And I think that would be something I'd remember seeing. So wait, you're looking for a literal library, a ship...sea or space? And a phonebox? A blue phonebox, sorry.

They're a bit dull, admittedly, but I'm sure there's others out there on much more fascinating subjects!

Literal library in a ship, space not sea, that's inside a blue phonebox! It says "police box" on the side if it helps. [ he scrunches his face because he'd been hoping that maybe someone besides the Keidan might've spotted the TARDIS but there doesn't seem to be any luck for him. ]

I'd hope so! It's be pretty cool to have them back home. On the interesting topics I mean.

[He's trying to imagine this and it's just...it sounds amazing but so difficult to picture.]

Oh but uh, yeah. Of course. If I ever see it, I'll make sure to let you know right away!

Anything you'd want to see besides comics? Not that comics aren't brilliant and probably would fill up the entire seventeen hours with the complicated plots that often happen.

Anything epic really. I'm into fantasy and sci-fi as well. How cool would a long fantasy movie be? I mean, more than the extended cut that's like already four hours?

Both brilliant! Fantasy's great too. I love a good dragon -- not to slay though! They're really misunderstood creatures. Wouldn't you be bothered if someone tried to attack you in your home?

Dragons are amazing! And I'd probably only attack if it attacked me first. Not kill it. But yeah, I'd be pretty miffed.

Yeah, that wasn't the first time either. The whole place looks really nice and it's nice to see at night. When there's...not a curfew.

Oh, they normally wouldn't dare. Usually when you'd hear about them attacking, people never do tell you the other side of things. There's always someone who's stolen something or tried to attack a young -- but it's good to know that you wouldn't. There needs to be more people like you.

Tell me a little bit more about things though. I'm new. What exactly is this curfew and how many times exactly has this sort of thing happened here? [ because that's caught his interest ]

People usually suck at telling things straight.

[He thinks for a moment.]

Well, okay I got here and something bad had already happened. Apparently a gang tried to kill some of us? But the head honcho, Evandau killed the leader. But...that sort of started gang wars. That escalated...which I was here for and a lot of bad stuff went on. Like fights in the street. Then, they tried to blow up a flipper. Because of all of that, there's a curfew in place, from sunset until rise.

See, that's interesting because in order for gangs to exist there's got to be underlying problems already in place. And this head honcho you've mentioned -- not exactly the best decision maker, is he? Kill the head of the gang and of course bad things will happen. Very bad things.

[ he frowns because there's so much more he can say about this. why does no one ever just do the smart thing? ] Is he also the one to put the curfew in place?

Right? Well see, apparently we're here to 'save' them, as in the people here. We don't know how or why no one's said anything. But it's like we're to blame for this, cause we're here the gangs are acting up? It's really confusing.

[Billy sighs and rubs the back of his neck.]

Yeah, that was...kind of dumb, unless it was intentional and maybe to see how we would react and what we can do? He also put the curfew in place, I'm thinking to see who will listen and who'll break the rules. [He shrugs. He's had a lot of time to think about this.]

[ oh billy, see he likes you already because you're a thinker. and he needs someone like that. ]

And that's even more curious, isn't it? Did they already know that our presence would cause the gangs to start fighting and thus, have us wash up on here? Because if that's what we're saving them from, it's almost as of they'd inadvertently caused it. [ time loops and paradoxes, he has business dealing with them ]

The people here are the Keidan. Not quite human, not familiar alien. Interesting because I know a lot of about either, but not about them. There generally isn't much I don't know about so I'm a bit worried. Also we're on a turtle. Still got to find out how that's working out. [ he sounds a bit like he's talking to himself at this point, but rambling to billy has sort of reminded him that maybe there's more he's meant to find out about here first before he leaves! ]

Right, sorry — so we've got a police state going on, don't we? Very nearly, very not good and very much going to get me in trouble. But perhaps it'll get me right to where I want to be.

[Billy does that a lot, so you're in luck.]

But if they knew we would be the cause of it, then why would they bring us here to save them, when if we weren't here, the gang fighting wouldn't have escalated to the levels it did? It doesn't make sense unless their gluttons for some kind of punishment.

Yeah, I noticed they weren't exactly human, I think they have slight shape shifting abilities, and they're tougher than a baseline human. So far the turtle hasn't done anything though, I don't even know if it's aware there's a huge city on its shell.

[Billy's chipping in, regardless, with his own.]

Yeah. They aren't the best but they seem to be doing an okay job some times. I mean maybe I'm just spoiled from the police I have back home.

[ go team thinkers ]

Perhaps it was prophesied, if you believe in that sort of thing. Mind you, I really think it's nothing more than a story, but it could be a fixed point in their time. Which really wouldn't make much sense because it isn't as I can feel the timeflow being stuck here. So they've got to have brought us here wanting the fighting to escalate. Which makes about as sense to me as it does to you, but like I said -- maybe I ought to get a word in with the people in charge here.

What're they like back home? You've been here longer than I have. Give me a bit of a comparison.

Not really, there's too many things that can change for it to be set like that. Unless people think the changes also lead to the event. I don't though. Yeah that...really doesn't make any sense. There's a man named Evandau, he seems to be some kind of person in charge. I forgot his title though.

[Billy pauses for a moment.]

Hard working, I mean they do their job, hit and miss whether you get to deal with the good cops or not, but that's normal, right? I live in New York, so it's a tough place. We have bad guys blowing up places, taking hostages or just fighting on a weekly basis.

Here it's...we're told about a curfew, not told why we're here. There's cooperation but it just feels really...low?

It's a possibility, but there's no fun in pre-determined events is there. Besides, there was too much chaos going for it to be as controlled as we're speculating. This Evandau though, do you know if there's anyway to contact him?

[ He nods, listening as Billy describes the situations. ]

It seems like they're trying to keep you placated, but only just. I had a lovely chat with some of the other inhabitants here, but they weren't too chatty about what's going on inside the city. It seems like it's a common sentiment amongst everyone here.

Random and unexpected keeps you on your toes a lot more. I mean sometimes you with it could be predictable, but...it's kinda like you're cheating life that way. Honestly, it probably is just the fact we randomly keep showing up here and they saw it as an excuse to act out.

I think they've gotta be hiding something, when I was on the cart, I hardly got any information besides the basics. People with powers also saw them really badly dampened for a while.

Oh right! Evandau's probably best contacted from the station? I don't know if you can go in and just ask to see him or what though.

Oh, don't you worry about life. It and time and everything to do with that sort of thing is never quite as predictable as anyone would think. And even then, time can be rewritten. You really never do know what's in store!

People that don't talk. Police that don't explain. I think we're beginning to sense a pattern here. I might have to pop in to the station. Doesn't matter if I can just go in. I've never been great at making appointments anyways.

[ wait something just occurred to him ] --what do you mean powers?

Time travel isn't exactly my favourite thing to think about. [Not anymore. It used to be though. Not to mention the fact that he can sort of alter reality if he wanted.] Usually a lot of good things and a lot of bad things. That's what's involved. Depends what's been changed or going to be and every other little factors.

[Billy smiles.]

Just try not to get into too much trouble. Oh...uh like superpowers. Flying, lightening bolts, fire...powers.

You've encountered time travel before. When did you say you were from? [ oh Billy he would be so very intrigued by you if he knew this!! ] And you're absolutely right. One little thing can change everything, can't it?

[ He smiles back with a sort of glee that really shouldn't be there because of the things they're talking about. But adventures are what gets his hearts a kickin! ] Oh, but getting into trouble's the best part.

Someone's been reading a bit too many comics.

A few times actually, experienced it once though. I'm uh, I'm from 2011. I also saw the consequences to the actions of changing history as well. That's why it's not really my favourite thing.

[Despite the bad things that had happened, he's still able to keep a smile about him. Okay, it kind of creeps into a grin.]
