[ Loki is leaning a bit too close to the terminal screen when he starts to record his little post. He seems a little too bright-eyed given the circumstances, and there’s an odd rapidity to his speech when he starts talking. ]
I have to admit, I am disappointed. [ He holds up a touchscreen phone so his audience can get a look at it. ] These Starkphones are simply not designed for the rigor of interdimensional travel, and the lack of service is a failure I cannot abide. How will I chronicle my doings without the aid of Instagram and Facebook? Nor can I go on to spread knowledge of this failing with a review!
At least the natives of this realm are accommodating, though I don’t think this makes for an adequate replacement of my phone.
[ He pauses only briefly before switching gears. ] Now, moving onto more important matters… I have a few questions about the quality of native cuisine and where the best breakfast can be found.

action!
I'm not that popular, it's mostly my friends. [They did say they'd help him look for Wanda, after all, when no one else wanted to. And then Magneto showed up, but let's ignore that part. Was Loki like that? He holds his hands up in a placating gesture.]
Okay! Don't tell me anymore, even if I beg and plead, just ignore all that. [He gives a smile, even if he's a little distracted.]
So, breakfast food! Have you ever heard of tribbles? Because everyone is trying to get rid of their meat, because there's so much of it... how did Noh-Varr join us, he's a part of the team? Where's Tommy? [Spoilers are so difficult to resist, goddamnit!]
action!
[ That last word comes out with a distinct tone of disgust. He hated that word. Hate, hate, hate. ]
And all of this for reasons I will not reveal. Except for your brother and any potential involvement with you and Teddy in those matters. I hope those reasons are incredibly self-evident, as I understand Midgard has no end of qualms about incest. Now order the local fare, I care not what it's called. You are the expert here, and I demand delicious meats.
[ He's talking with his hands, immensely dramatic, and only takes a chance to breathe at the very end. ]
action!
What? They. No, there's not, no, that's. [He has to finish coughing for a second.] Tommy has a girlfriend here. Not that that matters or anything, just.
[Goddamn, but Loki talks fast, and the waiter is over as soon as Billy waves him over. He holds out the menu, points to one of the pictures, and asks for two of those. He'd found this was pretty good, one of those plates that gives you a little bit of everything.]
Okay, delicious meats are on their way. [He shakes his head a little. Delicious meats.] But while we're waiting, I guess... what sector are you in, by the way? I mean, which one are you going to be living in?
action!
They've given me accommodations in the Fire Sector. They are quaint but serviceable, so I might as well stay where they wish to put me.
[ He drums his fingers on the table briefly before amending: ] For now, anyway. I've a feeling I may be facing heat in short order, as it were. Pun very much intended.
Re: action!
Fire sector is the nice part of town. [Billy laughs, looking away for a moment. He's in that sector, too. To say it or not to say it? Either way, he has a feeling that he's going to see a lot of young Loki.] I'm in there, too. Obviously everyone from home is spread out, but the Metal sector is where you'll find... everything.
[And everyone. He makes a face at that terrible pun. Where was Teddy when the bad jokes started?] Yeah, you probably will. There's a lot of people here who aren't going to be pleased with Loki around. However old he is.
[Old or short? Old seemed more polite.]

[ He doesn't sound too terribly upset by the fact, though there's a touch of resignation. It was just the way the world worked, and he was much too good a liar to pretend it somehow didn't. That would strain suspension of disbelieve much too hard.
His lips quirk into a vicious grin. ]
It makes helping them so much more fun. The best of mischiefs always involve confounding as many people as possible, if you ask me.

[Let's be brutally honest for a moment. He's right, that the name Loki, plus the fact that he looks like a younger version of Loki, would immediately put people off. Really quickly. Billy might have been one of those people, but Loki knew him.
That changed everything. Tilting his head a little, Billy looked Loki in the eyes unflinchingly.]
Is that how you joined the Young Avengers? By confounding all of us?

[ Direct eye contact seems to encourage Loki's poor sense of humor to take a backseat. He sobers up some, briefly biting his lower lip absently as he thought. It was nice to be able to edit history as he saw fit. He'd be very careful about it, but he'd keep things well under control. Billy was a kind person, sympathetic. That would make this work. ]
My fate is bound up in yours. There was a mistake made, and I'm a part of things until such a time that you--or, rather, the 'you' of my time and dimension--gain a measure of mastery over your magic.
[ He laughs, a short sound with more resignation than anything to it. ]
I've become fond of the merry band, though. I've never been a part of something before. Being here... it's bad for me. Very bad.

And he didn't have a good control over his magic right now, either.]
I'm sure I'll... [Oh. He's never been a part of something. That saddens him, because wasn't that how he felt when Nate showed up? He hadn't been a part of something. He'd been apart of other people's things, because that's what happens when you're bullied. You're a part of a world you never wanted to be in.
Billy understands it so well. He'd like to touch his hand, but personal boundaries.]
Why is it bad for you? There's at least two people you know here, right? In a way?
