[David had been too busy taking in the city of Keeliai as well as Sinbrilee his first couple of days here. He'd even visited the Bacchanal before he'd even introduced himself to the mass of foreigners via the network. It was at a point now where he could calm his excitement for a moment and bring himself back to his suite, acquainting himself with the archaic machine--by his standards.

The feed comes on, and he's perched in front of it with a pleasant expression on his face.]

Hello. My name is David. I believe I have taken enough time getting acquainted with the city. It is about time I acquaint myself with my fellow foreigners.

I was surprised upon my arrival here but I find this an interesting opportunity to settle into. My previous occupation was on board an exploration vessel and in a roundabout way, I find myself in the same position, but a different place.

[Also someone did some digging back, at least in the more recent network posts.]

I'm coming to understand that we are from many different worlds as well. I would be very interested in learning about the places that you all are from.

So either you're from outer space or you're from a whaling ship in the 1700s. Either of which would be amazing.

It was quite amazing. We were exploring the moon of a system that we believed was home to a race of being that contributed to the existence of human life.

I am from Earth, but yes, my crew and I traveled across space.

Hell is subjective. It is a pleasure, nonetheless, Miss.

I do not really have any perceived notions of what Hell would be like. But I imagine my closest experiences would be that Hell is created less by the environment you are in and more the people who surround it.

Hello David. My name is Kara. I have to ask, when you say exploration vessel, what exactly were you exploring? [ She doesn't want to just assume it's a spaceship, but advanced cultures seem to be the norm here. ]

A pleasure to meet you, Kara. [He gives a small bow with his head.]

A scientist approached the man I worked for believing that she had found the answer "Where did mankind come from?" He was the founder of a large corporation that paved the world into the future of technology. He funded a special research project to go out and explore the star system she had found illustrated in many arts of ancient cultures that had been separated by time and the oceans. It was a fascinating expedition.

Why there? Didn't you evolve from single-celled organisms like everything else?

Where I am from, yes, humans did evolve from single celled organisms, [Word choice because he's not actually human, hee.] however Dr. Shaw, the scientist who led the expedition with her partner, believed that the consistent appearance of these markings meant not only that someone had played a role in the foundations man but that they were also extending an invitation for us to join them when we were capable.

On our expedition, we discovered that the foundation of human genetics was in the DNA of a race of beings she called the Engineers. The moon we had landed on was deserted save one. I believe I had come to communicate with him, but that's where my memory ends and here begins.

Interesting. I have only heard of such a place in mythological or fictional texts.

[Sigh. Everyone else is from patently inferior universes. Still. it's not their fault.]

[It really isn't. And he's terribly fascinated with the superior ones!]

Fascinating. The probabilities of what's real beyond what those from my universe consider is truly amazing.

[That... was almost polite. Abrupt (in Jermayan's terms), but polite. Not a question to be seen- surprising, since usually those who use the consoles are so full of questions.]

I hail from the Elven Lands, most recently the city of Sentarshadeen, home of the House of Leaf and Star. It is a place of great beauty, especially now that the rains have been returned to it.

It would be good to know of the lands you have explored and the seas you sail. [Operating from a fantasy understanding of 'vessel' here.]

[David is full of curious statements, rarely questions. He listens, equating what Jermayan speaks of to fantasy literature. It's interesting to know that people can be here even from such places as well.]

Where I come from, the world has become less of its natural beauty and has grown into a land of technology beyond even the computer terminals that we are using to communicate with each other. The ship I travelled on did not sail on a sea so much as it did through the stars.

To leave behind the beauties of the natural world would seem to be going backwards in some way, but a ship that sails on the stars sounds like a thing that has its own beauty. To know more of how such a thing might be would make good learning.

An exploration vessel? [Color Bean intrigued. He hasn't met many people from time periods far enough ahead to have exploration vessels.]

I'm curious, what year are you from?

2093. The year, if you are interested, that said vessel was completed is 2091. It is the most advanced space vessel to date where I am from.

2091 and your Earth is already exploring space. [He sounds impressed.] I'm from 2171 and the colonization program is just beginning.

Then again, your Earth probably didn't have the Formics to deal with. Though, most of the technological advances that allowed us to move into space came from them. I'm not sure how we would have developed the capabilities otherwise.

[He's ...mostly talking to himself at this point.]
