That was definitely a fun trip, but I’m so glad to be up in the sun again. I don’t like all that darkness, and being under the water… it feels so trapped. [ Not to mention what happened the last time. Kara is not going to focus on that though, and she smiles brightly. ]

So now that we’ve got the sun back, who wants to hang out? I was going to do a little shopping, maybe go swimming. Ah… I know there was a little confusion the last time, but it really seems like most people prefer to be covered when they swim? [ Is that a blush? Maybe just a little. One can only take so many odd looks, you know. ] So I think it would be best if everyone wore swim gear. Just so we’re all clear on that.

Our family does seem to be on a radical side, no matter the universe. I'm sorry you have to adapt to a culture that's so weird to you, Kara.

It's alright. [ She smiles, and it's a touch melancholy. ] Better to adapt to the culture than have people still trying to kill me every other day.

I've been attacked less often here than I was in the first week I spent on Earth. [ And she... still has no intention of returning to Earth permanently, whoops. ]

I still don't understand how the Kal-El in your world allowed that to happen. I'm aware you are more than able to defend yourself but if you had just landed your powers must have been going crazy.

He didn't help so much as make me more upset.

He was still young, right? I supposed it would have been different if I had still been learning the ropes when the Kara in my world appeared.

[ She gives him a long and very critical look. ]

Not likely. A strange man wearing my family crest, speaking Kryptonian in a weird accent and claiming to be my infant cousin? It wasn't something I expected to run into when I woke up dazed and confused on a strange planet.

[He raises an eyebrow, remembering the moment Kara met him. She was the one to explain to him who she was, and because of Batman's reluctance to believe her she was also the one to prove who she was.

It would have made more sense Kara's way after all, if she remembered him so clearly as a baby.]

[ She huffs. Of course she believes him now, she wouldn't very well be calling him family if she didn't. ]

I do. And it seems like the Kal of my world is who he claims to be as well. [ She does remember that bit from her future. ]

If that Kal is anything like I am, he must have been glad to see you- even if you didn't believe him at first. Being the last Kryptonian is a heavy weight on our shoulders.

I don't think "happy" is the word I would use. Surprised, yes. Confused, maybe. [ In physical pain? Well... ]

I'd... really like to meet this other version of myself. Mostly because he doesn't sound like myself at all, sometimes.
