[ Gavroche is ready. Oh, is he ever ready. There's a grimly determined look on his face, one that is ill-fitting of a boy his age but certainly etched into his small features like stone.
Oh, yes. He is ready. ]
'Ey!
[ The place behind him--what was once a decent suite in the wood sector--has been more than a little ransacked. It looks like a mother's worst nightmare and an 11 year old's dream: furniture is everywhere, and where there's not furniture there's blankets and the like. Someone's been looting while everyone was busy with the dive, it looks like. There's also food in a distant corner on what looks to be a bookshelf, piled high. On the walls there's drawings--mostly of a man with a red vest and a few others, all holding red flags or France's own. There's other children'd drawings, too, though not as big--ones of the turtle, for instance, and one particularly unflattering stick figure of the Emperor.
Among the makeshift beds, the clutter of stray bits of furniture, and the general mess, there are others in the room with him. Kedan, of course--they're all about Gavroche's age, milling about like they own the place. Gavroche clears his throat. ]
Everyone was busy, huh? M'busy, too. Still am, 'cause I got more stuff to do. [ He nods, face still deadly serious. ]
'Cause I ain't got an elephant no more, m'makin' my own for everyone an' anyone. Summat what don't have their own place to stay, huh? But s'not for grown ups. 'Cause grown ups can take care of themselves. [ Then it's not anyone and everyone, Gavroche. Unless he meant the newcomers and the Kedan? ]
M'gonna make sure everyone my age knows all the shortcuts and stuff, huh? Just gotta follow Gavroche. Follow, follow! [ Just don't ask where he got all the stuff. ]
