[Well... this had not been a great day for Donatello so far. He was used to strange things happening in his life after is many crazy things, but being sent into some other dimension was NOT something that he had been planning. Finding out that he was basically stuck in this world that he was being told was some kind of afterlife didn't help his growing bad mood and worry either, not to mention that he had yet to see nay of his family... if they were even here at all.

Now that he had been placed in his room, he had time to think. He certainly wanted to get more info about this place, to see if there was anything else that eh should know that he hadn't been told of already. But he wasn't going to go out in person to find out either, he would only freak people out with his appearance. So the next best thing to do would be to send a text message and hope that someone would respond so that he could figure things out.

It was his best shot.]

Umm... hi. Sorry if this is interrupting anything, but I just arrived here and I was hoping that someone may be able to help me. I just want to know a little more about this place, such as if anything really big happened that I may need to know about, and if there is even a slight possibility that there is a way out.

Also, I'm... looking for a few others. So if anyone can give me any information on these individuals, I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

[It's a routine stop into his suite to check his personal inbox when Leonardo sees it. Like his double, Leo usually passes over the newcomers, but the sudden encryption to his console catches his attention - it's the filter they've used every time a turtle meeting was needed for some reason or another. They haven't had much use for it lately, with all of the remaining turtles currently bunking under one roof, so either someone hit a few wrong buttons or...]

[Leonardo quickly taps into the video feed to see a flash of purple, brown eyes, and a tooth gap. Ah-ha. There's a grim flash of an emotion he doesn't waste effort in identifying - he thinks he's been conditioned at this point to not expect his own brothers' appearances, but he still misses them every time he gets the chance.]

[Even still, Donatello is back. Little Ninja's Donatello, in fact. Leonardo's homesickness is tempered substantially by the knowledge that his counterpart once again has at least part of his family here.]

[He lets Don get the basic details from Mike, and smiles as he reunites with Little Leo over the network, patiently waiting for his turn to speak. It looks like he doesn't remember this place - which means he doesn't remember Leonardo, either. Leo's a bit saddened by that, but they weren't especially close before, as awkward as the patchwork family still was around each other at the time. Maybe that can change this time around.]

[Finally he sees an in. Leo switches on his own video function, smiling a bit wryly into the feed.]

Looks like you've gotten the low-down. Welcome back, Donatello.

[Donnie had just gotten back to his suite when he received the call. He was stunned very briefly, but it quickly faded. That's right, Mike had told him that there were two Leonardo's here. He had already found his own Leo, this must be the other one.]

Leo? Wait... your the other Leo, right?

[He allows himself to grin a bit more widely.]

What gave it away?

[Donnie couldn't help but smile a bit. Alternate version or not, it was still Leo... well, he looked older, but it was still Leo.]

The blue mask makes it pretty obvious. It's ugh.. nice to meet you Leo.

[That felt kinda weird to say, but he supposed that he'd get used to it.]

Don't worry; it takes some getting used to. The others call me Leonardo. [Easier to differentiate between the two when needed. And collectively, well, Mike calls them The Bookends, but THEY certainly didn't come up with that name 8|]

Leonardo, okay I can do that. Mike had told me that he just called you and Leo Bookends. Don't worry, I'm not gonna do that.

[Well... unless he felt like he was in a teasing mood]

[There's a small huff of exasperation, but it's really not all that annoyed.] Of course he did.

[Then he shakes his head, letting that hint of a smile return to his features. Even if this isn't his brother, it's good to see Donatello again.]

How are you holding up? It's a lot to take in.

It's been okay so far, better than I was expecting. I'm still feeling a little weak though, but nothing too bad.

[He nods. It's expected; he still remembers being hauled out of the ocean nearly a year ago, disoriented and weak. Man... it's really been that long.]

[Carefully, Leo folds his hands, his voice shifting to a more professional tone.]

I'm sure you have many questions for us... but you should rest up first. Mike and I aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

[Yep, that was something that only a Leonardo would say. And he wasn't up for arguing, especially since Leonarod was right.]
