Yeah, exactly. She's mad at me. So I'm giving her space. I'm not about to poke the fucking bear.

[he huffs. Because yes, he had been a dick toward Brandon not her, why is this so hard to figure out.]

I can pretty much guarantee she doesn't want space. Steph-- doesn't like it when people are angry at each other. Just go talk to her, okay? If you 'give her space' she's going to think she did something wrong.

[God, why is he even doing this he doesn't even like Tommy except for the part where he's hot.]

[He shifts uncomfortably, rubbing his hand on his elbow as he thinks for a moment. Okay, maybe Brandon had a point, but at this point Tommy's pride has been hurt more than he's willing to admit. Steph saw him when he was vulnerable, and he made her mad. He didn't want to make it worse.

But. The fact that Brandon knows so much about her sort of makes his expression soften. He looks at him for a moment and huffs.]

You really care about her, don't you?

[he sighs.] And I'm not mad at her. She's mad at me, remember? [He chews on the inside of his cheek.] But whatever. I'll talk to her. But it's your fault if she bites my head off.

She's... pretty amazing, yeah.

[He rolls his eyes with a huff.]

I know you aren't mad at her, jackass. But she might not. And if she bites your head off, sure, fine. I'll take the credit and read your funerary rites or whatever.

Look, we haven't exactly-- gotten off to a great start. But I know you're not as much of a jerk as you want people to think.

[Tommy drums his fingers against his arm, frowning at Brandon. When he finishes off, Tommy bristles a little.]
