Though judging by his fumbling with the console, as if he's not quite sure how to use his talons, something's not quite right. Oh dear.

The voice is Temeraire's when he speaks, of course, but it's curiously calm and level as it carefully avoids asking his question.

He's pretty sure he could break something if he got upset. Thus, he will not get upset. Nope. He's fine.]

It would seem that I have, through the magic that has gone awry, gained a new body, and one that is as strange to me as the sea is to the stars. It would be good to speak with the one who should properly be occupying this form.

[Especially since hopefully the dragon is in his. He hopes he's all right.]

Do not be alarmed- I have been careful since realizing the event that has transpired. It would be beneficial, however, to know the needs of this form and how I might care for it- as I said, it is utterly unfamiliar to me.

I don't intend to waste a chance to fly. [He never really wondered about what it would be like to be an elven mage of old, flying on the back of a dragon, but now that he's in the body of a dragon he isn't foolish enough to keep all his feet on the ground.]

I wanted to speak with the rightful owner of this body before I made the attempt.

Oh. [A pause and then a laugh, he should have guessed most people would actually take the chance to fly. He'd only had his age reversed but if he had had his body swapped he would have also wanted to talk to the rightful owner before doing anything rash.] Yeah, of course.
