[Sokka's face is scrunched up and his tongue is just poking out of his mouth as he jabs at a few things and then pulls back with a grin.]
There! It...is set up, right?
I'm not going to just be talking to some...what is this thing called again?
[He squints and gives another jab before shrugging.]
Anyway, I know there's other people around, so hi! Hello! I'm Sokka, just some guy currently hoping that he's doing this ri--[And the video and all sound cut off as Sokka touches something that clearly makes it end recording.]

[video] Go me, thought I replied to this.
You're... serious, aren't you?
[... seriously what else can she say.
But between meeting Princess Yue, and now Sokka--
She actually has a moment of homesickness.]
Oh. Well, it's great that we're not alone then.
[Since. Sokka and Yue. She doesn't really know much of their history, beyond the fact that they must have known each other, since Sokka was historically at the battle where Yue gave up her life. And it's not like she's going to just ask.]
Sokka smiles and then it's quickly turned into a grin.]
Likewise! Us uh...home worlder people have gotta stick together!
I'd like that.
Just. A feeling she has.]
So... would you mind if I asked you a few questions?
[SINCE SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BE RUDE OR ANYTHING.]
He grins and stretched his arms up.]
Go ahead!
[They will cheer from the bleachers together and have betting pools. Best plan.]
I dunno, we just did it, it just sort of worked. I guess teamwork and a lot of luck. Yeah, luck played a big part in it.
I mean, it was hard not being a bender, but I got by.
[With his trust, super duper boomerang!]
[You're like. Forty in all the commemorative statues and stuff.]
And yeah, I understand that. I'm the only non-bender in my group of friends, too.
[PING]
You're a non-bender? That is so cool! I mean, I know other non-benders obviously, but I've sorta been stuck with my sister and everyone else with their 'check me and my bendy powers'.
['also you're kinda dead, sorry'.]
Hey, don't sell yourself short. There was a lot they couldn't have done without you, right? Bending is just a tool like anything else-- like a sword or a boomerang or even a Satomobile.
[Aw boo :( That would be sad news.
He grins and nods, leaning back in the seat.]
Yeah, I know I help out and stuff and apparently they get bored without me around so, that's kinda uplifting.
Like a part of your body.
But uh...what's a Satomobile?
[She says that teasingly, mildly chiding. Okay, so she messed that up with Yue, but... she doesn't want to make the same mistakes twice.]
Oh, um. Satomobiles are... something my Dad built. They're vehicles, like-- a polar beardog that doesn't get tired, if that makes sense? I can show you sometime, they've got similar things here.
[He grins and waggles his eyebrows...bribery? The worst at it.
Sokka's imagination took that and was now picturing a polar beardog running around the world, galloping over mountains and swimming in the ocean. He had to shake his head and remember that she kept talking, his eyes seemed to light up at the thought of being shown.]
Yeah! That'd be great!
[Still teasing!]
I'd love to! When are you free? And, um, do you know Princess Yue...? She's welcome, too.
She knows your sister, so I thought she'd probably met you as well. I'm glad.
[srsly bro. bro srsly. that place sounds horrible.]
They are, just...not a lot. Most of the time. It's okay being a guy there but...I wouldn't put it on the list for great vacational spots if I was a girl.
oops. she's kind of used to speaking her mind.]
Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking.
[whoops talking smack about your culture. BUT SHE DOES LOOK GENUINELY APOLOGETIC ABOUT IT...]
No, it's okay. I mean, it's different in the North than it is in the South. Kinda stricter? I mean, they didn't let my sister learn offensive bending at first. Back home...girls fought as well.
