Holy shit, this thing really works?! This is so fucking cool! So, I turned this on and everyone else can hear me, right? This thing’s like a mass phone call or… Oh, wait. Is this what it was like being on TV?

[she pulls out a book from her backpack]

Well, I’m reading a book about anti- gravity… It’s impossible to put down. Pfff. Okay, okay, I won’t read my good ol’ pun book to everyone, but if you ever need a joke, let me know.

Also, I’m looking for someone. His name’s Joel, he’s kind of older, brown hair, talks with a pretty thick Texas accent.

And if anyone knows where I can find a bunch of books in English, that’d be awesome. Last place I went to, they were all in this fucking weird script! No good if you wanna actually read something, you know?

Woah, woah, I don't know anything about mechanics. Mostly, I build 'em with shit I find lying around as long as it's the part I need. I picked it up from this training manual Joel found and got tons of practice.

But if you asked me to make something else, it's probably not gonna work. [she scrunches her nose. She was pretty much aware of how limited her skills were-- she could survive Hunters and Infected, but anything to do with spaceships or... well, anything besides turning on a car...]

The thing I can do that'd be closest to mechanical is pop a clutch.

What sort of things? Like, fixing a car?

I could teach you that-- the cars here are simple. I can modify small appliances and build computers. Most of the things I usually work on are much more complicated.

Yes, though I am still... you could call it an apprentice. My main job is navigator.
