[UNLIKE her… friend? escort? companion? partner-in-crime?, Elizabeth had significantly less-trouble starting the network running. Probably because she paid attention to what was being told to her. What can she say? She picks things up pretty easily. After turning on the PC, she settles down in front of it, looking at it curiously. This is where the feed begins.]

Oh! Hello! You really can see my face! It's like a voxophone and a Kinetoscope all in one!

Right. My name's Elizabeth- I'm looking for a man? He's tall, brown hair, rugged-looking, scowls all the time, like this: [She contorts her face into an exaggerated scowl for a moment, before returning to an easier-to-look-at face.] His name is Booker Dewitt, and if anyone has seen him… Well, I hope he's here. [Did she actually just say that? Yes, yes she did.]

And if he's not? Well, then, hello!

[Julie isn't looking directly at the feed. Sort of down and to the side, tilting her ear towards it more than her face. Not that there's anything wrong with her face. Julie's just having issues of the "can't see for shit" variety and is trying to compensate.

The name Elizabeth mentions is familiar and Julie is smiling just a tiny bit.]

You're Elizabeth, huh? I met Booker. Kinda gruff? Deep voice? Looks like he knows his way around a fight and has probably started a few?

[Oddly enough, this is a compliment.]

Did you find him yet?

[Julie's pretty sure he'd have answered Elizabeth within seconds if he was still around.]

[Okay, this girl is acting a bit strange, but she's not going to judge. She's on a giant turtle.]

That's Booker. [She smiles at the description. It's really apt, honestly. Booker Dewitt was, well, a very interesting man, who tried to play it off like he wasn't interesting at all. One day, she'd get to the bottom of him.]

I did! He was here right away, and came over. I'm so glad he's here! I'm surprised he's mentioned me, though.

[She appreciates it. And will probably explain in a little bit.

Her hand runs through her hair before the hair tie on her wrist is pulled off and her hair is tucked away off of her shoulders. It's not the best ponytail in the world. But it works for her.]

He wanted to know if you were here and seemed worried. He said he was looking out for you.

[In his own way, actually. He didn't even say that specifically but that's what Julie got.]

He also mentioned you liked books.

[Wryly] I'm glad that's what he got about me out of our time together.

[No, she appreciates it. And she really appreciates that he was worried and looking out for her. This is apparently what friendship is.]

Thanks for telling me that, though. I really appreciate it. [She'll tease him about it, thanks, Julie.] But it's safe to say that I really do like books.

[The wry tone gets a faint snerk from Julie. It was definitely interesting to hear, and she's now more curious than ever about Elizabeth and Booker.]

Books are fabulous. They're a great escape when you need one, informative when you want to learn.

[She's a fan.]

I'm Julie, by the way. I think I failed to mention that.

[They have a weird relationship, we don't talk about it.]

Exactly and, they're friends.

Hi, Julie. I'm Elizabeth, but, ah, I guess you already knew that.

I don't think I've ever heard books referred to as friends. [A pause and then she grins.]

I like that. I'll have to remember it when I go home. I can teach the kids I read to.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Elizabeth. I'd offer to give you a tour, but that may have to wait a bit.

Really? The escapism is what makes them friends, I suppose. But, I'm glad you like it.

It's great to meet you too, Julie. Why? Is something wrong?

I, uh...there was this thing, recently. I don't know what to call it. It affected me somehow and I couldn't touch anything. No one could see me or hear me and I was, for whatever reason, struck blind.

[That's the explanation for why Julie isn't looking directly at anything.]

Obviously, I'm okay for the most part but I still can't see.

Oh my goodness! that's- that's terrible! Booker never mentioned anything about that.

I'll be happy to help you if you need anything. I can't imagine how awful that must be.

Elizabeth, you're a sweetheart. You'd really do that for a stranger?

[Don't question it, Jules. You'd do the same fuckin' thing.]

Considering how a stranger helped me out in a terrible situation? [And now he was her certified bff?] Of course I'd do it.

[PLUS! interactions with people who aren't trying to kill her. A+]

[That's a valid plus. Julie smiles some, nodding a bit.]

Alright. Okay. I'm for it. My...[Pausing for a moment to think this over because what does she call him? Pay no attention to the soft smile on Julie's face as she continues to speak.]

A really, really good friend of mine named Raleigh Becket is helping me out a bit, but he has to work so I wouldn't mind the extra help and I'm sure he'd feel better, too. I just hope you don't mind the paint cans and half-finished art projects everywhere.

Of course! I don't mind at all- wait. You paint? [Oh my god, new best friend for forever and ever.]

I do. [She's leaving it at 'do' because saying 'did' would make this whole blind thing feel permanent and hopeless.]

It's my friend.

[Kind of like books.]

I paint. I sing. I write cheesy poems and stupid songs. [A one-shouldered shrug. Non-committal gestures were okay when used rarely.]

It's fun.

We're going to get along so amazingly! I paint and sing, too! I've tried poetry, but I'm really not good at it.

I'd like to hear your poems. And songs.

[Eliabeth wins the prize for making Julie feel self-conscious. Don't worry, this is a good thing. She's even grinning.]

How about I let you read them?

[Good. Elizabeth can practically feel the smile radiating from the screen.]

You would? Wow, that'd be amazing! I'd love to!

I should warn you; it's a little dark. Some of it, anyway.

That's okay. I don't mind.
