[UNLIKE her… friend? escort? companion? partner-in-crime?, Elizabeth had significantly less-trouble starting the network running. Probably because she paid attention to what was being told to her. What can she say? She picks things up pretty easily. After turning on the PC, she settles down in front of it, looking at it curiously. This is where the feed begins.]

[Did she actually just say that? Yes, yes she did.]

Rapunzel? [Woah. Wooooah. She knows the story of Rapunzel. She'd read her fair share of Grimm's fairy tales. And now she's talking to RAPUNZEL. Or maybe just another girl named Rapunzel. But she certainly appears to have long hair...]

Wow, yeah, it's nice to meet you, too! I hope so. I've only really ever known Booker.

I didn't know very many people before I came here either. Mostly it was just my mother and my friend Pascal. Well, Eugene too, but I had just met him.

Sounds like me and Booker- I just met him before I came here, too. I have never met my mother. [That's very, very true. She'd met her ghost of sorts, but that wasn't really even her. Her mother was unknown completely and totally.

But it cements her belief that this is the girl from the story. Perhaps the same one that gave Lady Comstock the idea to keep her locked up.]

Oh, I'm sorry. [She hadn't meant to bring up something so sensitive, so she quickly moves on.]

So you haven't known each other very long?

Don't be. There's nothing to be sorry about. [There really wasn't, at least, nothing that a girl she just met should feel sorry over.]

No. He, ah, I met him three days ago. When he fell through the ceiling in my tower.

[Her eyes widen slightly at the mention of a tower. Doubly so because of someone crashing in.]

You have a tower?

Had.

[Yeah, this girl is the girl from the fairy tale, and Elizabeth isn't even sure how to fully take that news. Then again, at this point in her life, there have been stranger things.] It was destroyed.

Oh no! What happened?

Oh, no, no, no. It's good that it was destroyed, Rapunzel.

My guardian... Songbird, he tried to catch us. It brought the tower down.

Catch you? You mean you were trapped?

[She nods.] In my tower. I'd lived there as long as I can remember. Booker was the first person I can remember seeing.

Why were you being kept there?

I, uhm... The woman that claimed she was my mother had me locked up there. Then it became more than that... Because they were afraid of me. And to keep me safe. So that I could lead the people after Father Comstock's death...

[She looks down, hoping that that explains it without scaring Rapunzel away.]

Oh. That's...that's awful.

[She looks properly afraid, but not enough to turn away.]

Why would they be afraid of you?

[Oh no, oh no, she's ruined everything. Quick, back-track.]

I- I think they were afraid of me because I was Father Comstock's heir. I was supposed to lead Columbia after he died... And they wanted me safe, so they tried to make everyone afraid...

But people shouldn't be afraid of a leader...

Those kind of leaders are usually the villain in my books.

I'm not the villain- [At least, she didn't think so. She really hoped she wasn't. But all those people... All those people who had died in her name. Daisy Fitzroy. Lady Comstock.

Elizabeth shrinks slightly, her eyes wide and her voice soft.] I'm not the villain...

Oh! Oh no!

[Rapunzel throws her hands out and waves them erratically.]

I didn't mean to say that you were! I just meant that keeping people afraid of you didn't sound like a very good idea.

Oh. [Well, that's better. She looks up again.] Thank you, for clarifying. But you're right- Father Comstock is the villain. He uses god and prophecy to justify hurting people, and profiting himself.

That's awful! Is there any way to stop him?

That's what Booker and I were trying to do, before we got here.

[They had to kill him. They both knew it.]

Oh. That's such an important thing to be taken from...

I'm still not sure how I feel about it. It's wonderful, to be here, to be safe, not have to deal with Comstock or Songbird or the Vox or anything like that. I'm completely free. But... Comstock is still terrorizing those people.

If it will help...I've been told that somehow time stops in our homes while we are here. Or we are returned to the time we left when we aren't here.

...Really?

[She totally does not doubt this.] You mean, we can go back? Or, well, we do go back? It's not just a one-way trip? [This is way different from her Tears. Even if that's kinda how she got here.] I don't- if time stops at home, I don't want to go back. Ever. [Well, she never really wanted to go back in the first place. At home... At home she was being tortured and experimented on.]
